Pakistan is preparing the groundwork for India to take back POK

OIC delegation at POK: On 5th of August 2019, the Modi government corrected JL Nehru’s himalayan blunder and nullified Article 370 and 35A. With this decisive and reformist step, the Modi government called out the bluff of Pakistan-backed separatist elements in the valley. Since then, the Modi government has been working steadfast to evaporate any angst of the awaam of Jammu & Kashmir. It is bringing the valley’s development at par with the rest of the nation.

However, Pakistan and its terror sympathisers have been posing a great challenge in consolidating this gain. Further, its terror launch pads have been imposing grave threats to the lives of innocent Kashmiris, Security forces and other residents. So, it becomes important to find a solution for this Pakistani menace for one and for all.

OIC burns its finger by meddling in India’s territorial sovereignty

Recently, a five-member delegation led by the Secretary General of OIC Hissein Brahim Taha visited Chakothi sector in the illegally occupied territory of POK. Desperately in need of help, Pakistan had seeked help from OIC to maintain its illegal hold on the area.

For that, the Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had requested OIC to send a delegation to areas near the actual Line of Control (LoC) and POK.

During his visit in the illegal territory (POK), Taha stated that in collaboration with Pakistan and other OIC member countries, the group is trying to find a proper channel to allow discussion between concerned countries India and Pakistan.

He said, “I think the most important thing is to find the channel of discussion between stakeholders [India and Pakistan] and we are working on a plan of action in this regard in collaboration with the Pakistani government and other member countries”.

Reacting to this visit, the External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi lambasted the OIC. He stated that the group has “already lost its credibility by taking a blatantly communal, partisan and factually incorrect approach to issues.”

Further, he chided OIC Secretary General, stating that he has become a mouth-piece of Pakistan. Advising the group to redeem itself, the MEA Spokesperson stressed that OIC should refrain from becoming Pakistan’s partner in crime.

MEA Spokesperson Bagchi said, “Its Secretary General has unfortunately become a mouth-piece of Pakistan. We hope that he would refrain from becoming a partner in carrying out the nefarious agenda of Pakistan of promoting cross border terrorism into India, especially in J&K”.

Past occurrences and the way forward

For the past few months, the Pakistani administration has been nervous regarding the fate of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The bad memory of bifurcation of Pakistan and the humiliating defeat of 1971 are still afresh in the mind of Pakistani deep state as well as its military corridors. Just like the plea to OIC, Pakistan has in the past sought help from western nations to save itself.

Evidently, in October this year, US Ambassador David Blome too visited areas across LoC in PoK. To pull Pakistan away from Russia, the US tried to court Pakistan through its sloganeering. Back then, the US Envoy Blome had referred to PoK as AJK. Later, after strong objection by the Indian government, the Biden administration had to undo the damage. The confused and lost POTUS himself acknowledged the fact that Pakistan is the most dangerous country.

This abject fear of Pakistan is in the backdrop of a determined Indian state which has taken a resolute stand to reclaim PoK. On several occasions, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh had repeated the firm stand of the Modi government to fructify the Parliament Resolution on PoK which was unanimously accepted way back in 1994.

Later, the Indian Army too re-iterated to reclaim Indian territory being illegally occupied by Pakistan. Reacting to media queries on Raksha Mantri’s resolute remarks on PoK, Lt General Upendra Dwivedi stated that the Indian Army will carry out any order by the government.

— ANI (@ANI) November 22, 2022

With the firm stand of the Modi government, Pakistan is feeling the heat of regular protests against its illegal occupation in PoK. Apparently, protest on the grounds of exploitation by the CPEC has become a regular affair. But recently, it was catalysed by the humiliation of the puppet head of state of PoK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. The residents of PoK took to the streets and protested against the sheer arrogance of Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif.

Also Read: The only way to stop cross Border terrorism is taking back POK

With all these developments happening in and around PoK has made it a hot potato for Pakistan. It is trying its level best to cling on to its illegality and seeking all the help it could for the same. Furthermore, Pakistan’s most used dirty ploy, that is, state sponsored terrorism is a given that has been a constant to cast aspersions on India’s stand in the valley. Pakistan-based terrorists have been infiltrating to create bloodshed and chaos so that it can create a perception that freedoms of ordinary Kashmiris have been curbed by the Indian state.

These developments have made PoK the ground of contention between the two nations. Thus reclaiming PoK is the only way forward to put an end to Pakistan’s illegal occupation as well as grave human rights violation on residents of PoK.
