Raja Pateria arrest: The safety and security of the Prime Minister of India is an extremely serious matter that should not be taken lightly. The nation has already endured many security breaches that have resulted in tragic consequences. Regrettably, the oldest political party of India seems to be neglecting their duty to ensure the Prime Minister’s safety. They are instead opting for superficial political gains.
Different words, same feeling
There have been several derogatory remarks made against PM Modi by the Congress party. It is highly unfortunate that the grand old party is using such aggressive and hostile language towards the leader of the nation.
It not only reflects their desperation and lack of respect for the office of Prime Minister, but also shows their lack of understanding of the democratic process. Such statements are not only in bad taste but also undermine the spirit of democracy and should be strongly condemned.
There have been several incidents where senior as well as lower rung leaders of the Congress party made derogatory remarks against PM Modi. But the Congress party has failed to take any action against them, which motivates others to do the same.
Recently, at a meeting in Pawai Tehsil, Panna district, Madhya Pradesh Congress party leader called for the killing of the Prime Minister in order to save the Constitution and the future of Minorities, Dalits and Vanvasis. In the viral video, the Congress leader was seen urging the people to be ready to kill PM Modi.

Shortly after the statement went viral, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan responded to the Congress party.
He said “The reality of those doing the drama Bharat Jodo Yatra is coming to the fore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi resides in the heart of the masses, he is the centre of reverence and faith of the entire country. When the Congress cannot compete with him on the ground, the Congress leader is talking about killing Modi.”
The Madhya Pradesh police arrested Raja Pateria on Tuesday morning following an FIR registered against him. However, the Congress party has not taken any action against Raja Pateria for his derogatory remark against the PM.

Whatever the elders do, the youngsters follow. If Congress’ Senior leader Sonia Gandhi can call the Prime Minister of India “Maut ka Saudagar” (merchant of death) then surely other leaders and party workers will not hesitate to make such remarks.
Since 2002, the Congress party has attempted to demean Narendra Modi, yet their efforts have been futile. In 2014, he was elected as the Prime Minister of the nation with a strong majority. In 2019, he demonstrated the people’s support for his leadership by winning the office for the second time.
Following 2014, the Congress Party and its leader have consistently sought to discredit and vilify him in the eyes of the voters. Be it Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra, Digvijay Singh, or any other figure, they have all made efforts to besmirch his reputation. Such efforts are still ongoing, with derogatory comments being made by the party’s lower-level workers and leaders.
Congress party and its ideology of ‘Love and Ahimsa’
In light of recent events, questions have been raised among BJP supporters as to whether the Congress party is planning to assassinate the Prime Minister of India. This is due to a series of incidents, ranging from Imran Masood’s statement that he would “cut Narendra Modi into pieces” to declaration of Raja Pateria to “be ready to kill Modi” to the attempted Khalistani intrusion on the PM’s convoy in Punjab. Such actions portray a mindset that is gaining momentum within the Congress Party.
This is an alarming situation for the entire nation and not just the ruling government. The opposition parties must realise that their duty is to provide constructive criticism and to facilitate the government in making the laws and regulations for the betterment of the nation. It is not the right way to criticise the PMO by opposing a democratically elected prime minister by using profanity.
