Rishab Shetty’s Kantara is outperforming all the Bollywood releases and continuing its fantastic run in the theatres. The Hindi version is going from strength to strength every weekend and it is the next big offering from the South. According to the trade reports, Kantara earned more than what Mili, Double XL and Phone Bhoot earned at the box office on November 8. The film, which was originally made in Kannada, is setting cash registers ringing. The film registered the highest collection on Sunday, November 6, by collecting Rs 4.5 crore. On day 26 Kantara Hindi Box office collection was 2.60 crore and on day 27 it was around 2.0 to 2.5 crore.

On its 26th day at the box office, Kantara is performing better than all the Hindi films at the moment. Going by the trade reports, the film is estimated to have earned Rs 2.6 crore crore at the box office on day 26. Kantara is single-handedly making a mark at the Indian box office. Estimated collection of Kantara Hindi was around Rs 2.0 to 2.5 crore at the box office on day 27.
The film also features Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Sapthami Gowda and Pramod Shetty in important roles. Kantara is now marching towards Rs 350 crore worldwide.
Kantara’ is set in coastal Karnataka and deals with the issue of land politics and man vs nature. Set and filmed in Keraadi in coastal Karnataka, the film stars Rishabh as a Kambala champion, who is at loggerheads with an upright DRFO officer, Murali (Kishore). The film, which was released on September 30, is an action-thriller written and directed by Rishab and produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
