British Monarchy: Between the 18th to 20th centuries the British Empire annexed most of the territories making it the largest empire in the history of mankind. The Empire had a foothold in Africa, Asia, Europe, America, and numerous Islands across the globe. Historians accept that roughly 25% of the earth’s landmass was in control of the British. The saying “The Empire on which the sun never sets” has been used to explain the vastness of the British Empire. But there goes another saying by Elbert Hubbard “We are not punished for our sins, but by them”. It seems that the same is happening with the British Empire. The British colonial empire — an institution that enriched itself through violence, theft, and oppression seems to be on the way to paying back its Karma.
On September 8th, Buckingham Palace announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the succession of the Prince of Wales, now King Charles III. The death of Queen Elizabeth II prompted an outpouring of confusion in the British Monarchy and the people. There is also a growing dissent toward doing away with the monarchy altogether. The hashtag ‘#NotMyKing’ was trending on Twitter as Queen Elizabeth’s eldest son, Prince Charles, acceded to the throne. These protests have not been limited to social media alone. In many cases, people have been seen carrying anti-monarchist signs, shouting slogans and heckling royals during some of the events being held across the country.
I was arrested today in #Oxford after I voiced my opposition to the proclamation of "#CharlesIII". Can we be arrested simply for expressing an opinion in public? I was arrested under the Police Bill passed earlier this year. This is an outrageous assault on democracy.#NotMyKing

Why are people protesting against the British Monarchy?
Not just in countries which it ruled, British Monarchy committed oppression, theft but even its own people. In other words, The British monarchy is nothing but the manifestation of the word “LOOTERS”. These colonists on the proceeds of their loot made people go miserable around the world. The word ‘Loot’ existing into their dictionary is a living example of their looting habit. They even stole Hindi word ‘Loot’ and made it a part of their language.
Coming back to the real reason behind the people protesting against British Monarchy in Britain. The Bank of England (BoE) expects the economy to enter a year-long recession by the end of 2022 as Britons are suffering from a cost-of-living crisis with inflation at its highest level in decades. There is a theory by Milton Freedman which explains inflation in best way possible. Milton Freedman stated that “Inflation is just like alcoholism in both cases when you start drinking or when you start printing too much money. The good effect comes first and the bad effects only comes later that’s why in both cases there is strong temptation to overdo it to drink too much and to print too much money when it comes to the cure its other way around. When you stop drinking or when you stop printing money, the bad effects come first and the good effects only come later”. (sic)
The reports suggests that 1.3 million people are on the verge of descending into poverty. At the time when 2 million Brits are forced to live hand to mouth, the British Monarchs spent lavishly to hold the funeral of late Queen Elizabeth II with great pomp and show, with the spending expected around 9 million dollars. Reports suggest that the Royal Family holds the property worth $ 28 Billion. These are the signs of starting phase of inflation where you enjoy spending lavishly when good effects knock at the door. But the royal family is unaware of disaster which is about to hit the UK.

British monarchy on the verge of extinction
The massive wealth at the time of looming recession is the reason why an anti-monarchy sentiment in the UK is skyrocketing. The dissent is being fuelled by the ‘Republic campaign’ which is the largest lobbying group for UK Republicans. The group believes that the monarchy is an outdated system with only intention to oppress democracy. Abolition of monarchy has also been an issue raised outside the UK in countries like Jamaica, New Zealand and Canada which are under the commonwealth rule. Seeing the ongoing scenario it’s time for the ‘Royals’ to realise the changing trend before they are shown doors.
