Kejriwal’s “ingenious YouTube” formula to upset the BJP in Gujarat

The reverse countdown has begun for the Gujarat assembly elections, scheduled in December 2022. All parties are adding new issues, agendas and tactics to their political armoury. They are doing everything possible to increase their chances and present a strong case before the voters. As per political experts the election is all poised to be a triangular fight with BJP having a huge advantage over its competitors. If the current trend persists, there are high chances that by the end of the election phase, Congress and AAP may have to fight for the opposition’s spot. Amid all of this, AAP seems to have deployed Youtubers to push its agenda among the voters.

Are Social media influencers creating a ripe field for AAP?

Within a decade of its inception, AAP has formed governments in two important states, Delhi and Punjab. After the Punjab assembly victory, AAP has adopted a more aggressive expansion strategy. For this, it is deploying every tactic possible to challenge PM Modi in his home state, Gujarat. It is relentlessly pushing the freebie politics. Moreover, a new claim has emerged that AAP is using planted social media channels to create a sympathetic wave for itself.

Several social media users have alleged that AAP is peddling a false narrative in its favour. A twitter user Vijay Patel shared a twitter thread accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of hiring a few Muslim YouTubers for the Gujarat election.

Netizens are accusing that such youtubers are following a similar script and telecasting pre-planned opinions of AAP’s volunteers.

In all such claims and accusations, twitter users are highlighting two YouTube channels Public Reaction Bank (PRB) and Daily Hind. They claim that these Muslim You Tubers are doing the bidding for AAP. Further, it is being alleged that both these YouTube channels deliberately hid the fact that they are owned by Muslim You Tubers.

Several screen grabs are going viral which emphasise the similarities in both these YouTube channels parroting tunes for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP. Allegedly, these pliable You Tubers are intentionally using religious angle and maliciously cashing the Hindu community in their scripted videos.

Furthermore, the twitter users are lambasting the AAP Social media team for peddling this fake and scripted public interaction in the garb of public support to the so-called Delhi Model.

AAP pushing the YouTubers content through its official handle

Evidently, AAP Social media team shared videos of the said YouTube channels through its official twitter handles. It is attacking BJP and Congress through the shoulders of such scripted YouTube videos. In all such YouTube videos, AAP is presented as the only saviour for Gujarati voters. It is claimed that the public desperately want to uproot the BJP which has been governing the state for around 27 years.

This new election tactics of AAP may not be a new thing in politics but the party has been caught red handed in this election gimmick. It also hints that AAP has a deep affection with YouTube be it the infamous advice of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of sharing the plight of Kashmiri Hindus on YouTube during his mocking speech on ‘The Kashmir Files’ or this new planted public reactions on its sympathetic You Tube channels.
