Yuzi Chahal Biography and Career
Yuzvendra Singh Chahal popularly known as Yuzi Chahal was born on July 23, 1990. He is a former chess player and Indian cricketer. In Indian domestic cricket, he represents Haryana. In 2016, Yuzi Chahal was named to a 14-man squad to tour Zimbabwe. On 11 June 2016, he made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. Richmond Mutumbami was his first ODI wicket.

Yuzi Chahal took three wickets for 26 runs in the second match, leading his team to an 8-wicket victory. He delivered a seam-up delivery at 109 km/h in his second over.

On 18 June 2016, he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Zimbabwe in Harare. Malcolm Waller was his first T20I wicket.
On 1 February 2017, he became the first Indian bowler to take five wickets in a T20I, finishing with figures of 6/25 against England.
Yuzvendra Chahal was also the first leg spinner to record a fifer and a six-wicket haul in a T20I, and he held the record for the best leg-spin bowling in T20I history (6/25).

The Mumbai Indians first signed Chahal in 2011. Yuzi Chahal played in only one IPL game over three seasons, against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 24, but he played in all matches in the 2011 Champions League Twenty20.
In the Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he took 2 for 9 in 3 overs, assisting Mumbai to defend their total of 139 and win the title. He was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10 lakh at the 2014 IPL players auction. In the 2014 IPL, he was named Man of the Match against the Delhi Daredevils.

Yuzi Chahal is the only Indian player to have represented his country in both chess and cricket. He represented India in chess at the World Youth Chess Championship, but he dropped out when he couldn’t find a sponsor.
