I said India, you heard pride. I said Rajamouli, you heard ‘Bahubali’. This is how word association works, right? Today, I want to ask you a question. Which is the word/name that appears in your mind when I say ‘struggle’? Well, the nation does not want to know that. It is public knowledge that the only appropriate synonym of struggle is Ananya Pandey.
So, is it her ‘struggle’ that helps her bag numerous projects despite innumerable flops or there’s some ingenious technique? Well, let’s find out.
Ananya Pandey really needs acting classes
So, how bad of an actor is Ananya Pandey? Well, as per my understanding, Ananya Pandey has basic acting skills. The acting skills you should expect from a Starkid who grew up in an environment where everything is about art, acting, and cinema. The acting skills you could expect from someone who went to popular acting classes to train themselves.
‘Struggle’ of Ananya Pandey was quite evident in her acting career. Right from the beginning with ‘Student of the year 2’, not even an iota of growth as an actor could be seen in her performances such as Gehraaiyaan, Pati Patni Aur Wo, and pardon me as I do not even remember the name of the movie in which she starred opposite Ishan Khattar (Her ex-boyfriend).
It is possible that she might have forgotten to act or probably kept focusing on the struggle during the entire shoot of the SOTY2. However, it was expected that like Alia Bhatt, she will emerge as a better performer but Ananya being Ananya, could only touch her nose with her tongue.
If my memory serves me right, I haven’t seen her doing justice to a single character that she has played during her entire career.
Multistarrer movies with minimum screen time
If there was a term called ‘Queen of flops’, Ananya Pandey should be the one entitled to the same. It makes me wonder how she manages to get films despite such a bad record. So, I did a quick research and came across certain reasons that help her survive in the industry. First is her script selection. While other actors are insecure of being overshadowed by the fellow actors in the movie due to short roles, Ananya Pandey chooses small roles. SOTY2, Pati Patni aur Wo and the recently released Gehraiyaan are the prime examples of the same. After Gehraiyaan was out, Deepika Padukone bagged most screentime. It is expected that Ananya Pandey probably will take it as a lesson and not choose a multi-starrer movie in the future.
Karan Johar comes to the rescue acting career of Ananya Pandey
Talking about a star kid and nepotism, how one can even expect that it could be completed without mentioning Karan Johar? You see, Karan Johar epitomises everything that is wrong with Bollywood. His idea of nepotism and unrealistic, imaginary content has caused the destruction of Bollywood. However, he has always been a godfather for the nepo-kids like Ananya Pandey, Jahnvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan.
Ananya Pandey began her acting career in 2019 with SOTY2 which was a Dharma productions film. Her next film Pati Patni Aur Wo was also released in the same year and was produced by Bhushan Kumar. Both the families share a good relationship with each other. It is pertinent to note that her other two movies named Liger and Gehraiyaan are also the result of the auspices of Karan Johar.
Here’s the Oscar waiting for Ananya Pandey for staying in the industry even after giving back to back flops and one of the worst performances that Indian Cinema has ever witnessed.
