Space tourism will soon be a reality in India. All thanks to ISRO!

Space tourism ISRO

Often, space projects are considered extraneous. However, these space projects have solved various problems of humankind with their scientific headway. In fulfilling the same, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been quite aggressive and a recently announced project is also an instance of the same. With ISRO sending its rockets to outer space, it is now ready to take civilians for tourism.

Space tourism: ISRO is taking humans to space

The Indian space industry is set to become a multibillion-dollar market in the next few years, with new development by ISRO. It is now preparing a great opportunity for people to experience space in reality. ISRO is planning a space tour for the common people.

Recently, the Science and Technology Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, remarked that the space agency ISRO is now processing an indigenous development of space tourism through its first-ever human space flight to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). In addition, he applauded the success of the Indian space agency by saying that it is currently working with 61 countries in varied fields of space activity.

Space tourism has been witnessing huge popularity for some time now. It has always been a hazy experience for humans to experience the same in just virtual setups. However, it will soon be a tangible reality, with the rising triumph of the Indian space industry.

The recent development can be witnessed as an achievement towards another milestone showcasing Indian capability. The world has already observed the Indian bravery on the ground, as it battles with its vile neighbours. Now, it’s time for the supposed superpowers, to see India rising above all heads with its ballooning success in almost every sector.

Though it’s not the first space voyage, it has paved the way for India to prove its potential to being a future superpower. Indeed, ISRO has given India a new facet of development to feel proud about.

Space X voyage

Earlier, Elon Musk tried to turn all heads with launching SpaceX, which allegedly has the capacity to take around 100 people to space. During this development, he had said that shifting people to Mars will help save the earth’s civilization from unfortunate accidents like that of a large asteroid impact.

This 120 m tall starship has completed two rounds to space with different people so far until it experienced some funding challenges. During its launch, it received a lot of attention all around the world.

India a success in space

Like other American private companies such as Space-X, domestic companies like Dhruva Space, Bellatrix Aerospace, AgniKul Cosmos, Manaslu Space, Skyroot Aerospace, Satellite, and Pixxel are proving to be commercially viable and technologically capable of utilizing this space by using the state-of-the-art facilities of ISRO.

As reported by TFI in June 2022, ISRO unlocked its Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (INSPACe). It was inaugurated with an unprecedented opportunity for the youth to showcase their talent to the best scientific minds of India.

In addition to this, ISRO also launched Chandrayaan- 2 mission, marking India’s first mission to the moon. The spacecraft was first launched in 2008 by a modified version of the PSLV C-11 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. ISRO has also lined up a series of tests before the launching of Chandrayaan 3, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

Moreover, ISRO also has a plan for the hottest planet in the solar system. It has shortlisted December 2024 for the spacecraft launch to Venus, as it will be the right time when the two neighbouring planets i.e. Earth and Venus will be the closest to each other. Thus, it will try to tape on a rare window to mark a historic move.

To sum it up, ISRO’s recurrent upswing in its missions is the reason for its US $7 billion value, as of 2019. And it is further expected to grow to US $ 50 billion by 2024, with the contribution of the recent space tourism mission of ISRO.
