Senthil Balaji represents the DMK party as an MLA in the Aravakurichi district. He served as the AIADMK party’s minister of transport for the Tamil Nadu government from 2011 until 2015. Career in Politics
In 2016, he won a seat in the Aravakurichi constituency as an MLA. He was crucial in keeping the government together after Jayalalithaa passed away. He supported T. T. V. Dhinakaran during the division of the AIADMK into factions.
18 MLAs were disqualified on September 18, 2017, by Speaker P. Dhanapal due to their petition to Governor Mr. Banwarilal Purohit to replace the Chief Minister.
On December 14, 2018, he formally joined the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in the presence of M. K. Stalin, the party’s president. He was given the opportunity to become district secretary shortly after joining the party, and he was later named as the Aravakurichi constituency’s by-election candidate.
On May 23, 2019, he was chosen to serve as an MLA for a fourth time. He is a representative in the Tamil Nadu legislative body. He prevailed in the April 2021 election, and he is now the minister of electricity, prohibition, and excise.

Short biography of Senthil Balaji
On October 21, 1975, in the little village of Rameswarapatti, in the Karur district, V Senthil Balaji was born. He has a background in agriculture.
He graduated from Rameswarapatti Govt. School, Vivekananda School in Pasupathypalayam, and Municipal Further Secondary School in Karur after completing his high school and higher secondary education there. At the age of 21, he entered politics, and he has been involved since the early 2000s.
Senthil Balaji started serving the public as a local body member in 1997. From 2011 to 2015, he served as the Tamil Nadu government’s minister of transportation. He lost his position in the government in July 2015. He was previously elected to the same Karur electorate in the 2006 general elections as a member of the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
