The rift between the alliance partners in Bihar; the Bhartiya Janata Party and Janata Dal (United) is known to all. However, CM Nitish Kumar’s hate for the BJP knows no boundaries. Nitish Kumar is an opportunist who never allowed the saffron party to expand its base in the state. Now, as the party under the central leadership is looking to strengthen its organisational structure, the two are again at loggerheads and this time Nitish Kumar’s hate for the BJP has been exposed.
JP Nadda faces protests in Bihar
To strengthen the organisational structure of the party in the state of Bihar in wake of the upcoming Parliamentary elections, national President JP Nadda was on a visit to Patna. JP Nadda is in the state to attend a two-day convention of the BJP’s seven frontal organisations.
Apart from this, Nadda paid a visit to his alma mater; Patna college. However, he faced major backlash in the premises, where slogans like “JP Nadda, wapas jao” (JP Nadda go back) were raised by student organisations, prominently AISA who demanded the roll back of the New Education Policy, 2020 and status of central university.

Protests were staged against Nadda and as per a video doing rounds on internet, he was surrounded by the protesting students, that can be clearly stated as a breach of security.
As stated by the state BJP leader, “Party President Nadda’s gherao was a serious security lapse by the State Police.” The BJP leaders have vocally criticised the incident and have termed it as a “major security breach” that was “allowed by the Police.” It has been alleged that the state police allowed protestors to come near Nadda. Ultimately, security personnel had to come to Nadda’s rescue and they pushed through the crowd to move him out.

Nitish Kumar at loggerheads with ally BJP
BJP’s push in the state since the last assembly elections has not gone down well with the state CM Nitish Kumar, with whom BJP happens to be in an alliance in the state. This visit of BJP’s National President JP Nadda, can be witnessed as a push from the saffron party to expand its base in the state. However, the JD(U) has not been happy with BJP’s convention in the state, as any rise in the strength of the saffron party will help it decimate the JD(U), which is already surviving on a ventilator support. Just to state, Nitish Kumar is surviving a high anti-incumbency wave and he doesn’t enjoys support of any loyal caste based votebank. In the lately concluded assembly elections, JD(U) emerged as the third number party.
JD(U) and Nitish Kumar in specific can be seen responsible for clipping the wings of the saffron party. And now when the saffron party is trying to walk out of Nitish Kumar’s shadow in Bihar, Nitish Kumar is desperate and his desperation has been exposed.
