Ever knew what’s the NDTV behind NDTV? Doordarshan will tell you, with love

Change is the only constant. The left liberal cabal and Lutyens media ran their anti-Hindu secular propaganda unabated with great success. They roamed around the power corridors at will. Even at times they had the ‘privilege’ of changing the shape of the Union Cabinet. But, not anymore.

Facts are tumbling out fast against these clique coteries. India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan, seems to have been looted and cut to size to give space to friendly media channel, NDTV. This hints that lies, deceits and theft seem to be the very foundation of the champion of this left liberal cabal, that is, NDTV. The controversial media channel, New Delhi Television Ltd. (NDTV) seems to have caught itself in the eye of a brewing storm.

Did Illegalities give birth to NDTV?

It seems that NDTV’s karma has come back to haunt it. Controversies favourite channel, NDTV and its co founders Pranay and Radhika Roy are back in the news again. No, it’s not for carrying out false reportage about any policy or scheme of the Modi government. Instead, its very existence has drawn the attention of the public.

There have been some revelations which force the public to ponder some important questions like- was NDTV born out of a result of loot from the Public broadcaster, Doordarshan? Was its birth and exponential success organic or were there illegalities involved in cropping this Frankenstein monster?

Why are we asking these questions?

Evidently, a clip of a candid conversation of Senior DD Journalist Ashok Srivastav is going viral. In this conversation with a YouTube channel, India Speaks Daily, veteran Journalist Ashok Srivastav levelled grave charges against NDTV. He accused the media house of indulging in theft during its initial days. He blamed NDTV for stealing tapes and costly equipment from Doordarshan.

Srivastav said that NDTV stole Doordarshan’s tapes and equipment to earn a profit and to establish itself. Out of this loot, NDTV used footage from stolen tapes while it sold the rest of the equipment stolen from public broadcaster, DD.

As per his claim, this was done with the active support of Bhaskar Ghosh who was Director General of Doordarshan, father of Sagarika Ghosh and Rajdeep Sardesai’s father-in-law. He also added that the then government emptied its coffers to build NDTV up.

A private channel hosting Parties in Presidential Palace: That’s NDTV for you

Founded in 1988, NDTV had the privilege to get the crown of first independent news network, at a time when the government had a monopoly over news broadcasters. After that, it kept on climbing the success ladder.

It enjoyed so many privileges and powers that despite being a private channel, it organized its lavish celebratory parties in the Prime Minister’s or Presidential palace, no less. But the same question persists: was it all organic or had there any sinister plan at play?

Many Twitter users have shared the same clip to highlight these alleged illegalities by NDTV during its initial days.

Further, the co-founders Pranay and Radhika Roy are controversy’s favourite children. Earlier, in Dec 2020, The Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had imposed a hefty fine of Rs 27 crores on the co-founders of NDTV, Radhika, Prannoy Roy and their holding RRPR (named after their initials), for withholding crucial information from Shareholders.

A month before that, SEBI barred Roys from the securities market for two years. They were also fined for an insider trading case and had to pay Rs 16.97 crore in fines.

On top of that, its anchors are not immune to controversies either. Just recently it was found out that NDTV journalist Sreenivasan Jain furnished a bond for alleged fact checker Mohammed Zubair. The least said about the incorrigible Ravish Kumar the better.

It seems that the so-called crusader of ‘Truth to power’, NDTV has rich legacy of financial irregularities, falsehoods, lies, deceits, anti-Hindu, sometimes anti-India propaganda. And now, the new feather added of theft from Doordarshan is icing on the cake of the champion of left liberal coterie, NDTV.
