Bihar terror module busted: Attempts to subjugate the “coward majority” foiled

India is witnessing a rampant rise of radicalisation. It is unfortunately suffering at the hands of violent protests, mob frenzy and arson. Calls for beheading are becoming a norm. Amid all of this chaotic violence, a well-oiled conspiracy was going on, against the nation. The Ghazwa-e-Hind, which was discarded as a mere conspiracy theory was being hatched with a proper timeline in mind. Thankfully, the Bihar Police has foiled a terror module working with the aim of bringing ‘Islamic Rule in India by 2047’.

PM Modi was the target

Prima facie investigations of past riots have highlighted one common thing. The extremist group Popular Front of India (PFI) is accused of polluting the atmosphere of the country. It is blamed to be the mastermind behind anti-Hindu communal riots in Delhi, Bengaluru and Rajasthan. The extremist Islamic group, PFI, is back in the news for the same reason.

A terror module, allegedly linked with PFI, was planning to target PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Bihar on July 12. To beef up security for PM Modi’s visit, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) got intelligence of a possible terrorist module operating in the Phulwari Sharif area. Working on this intelligence, Bihar Police and central agencies raided the area on July 11 and arrested two suspected terrorists.

Bihar | We keep an eye on such institutions (PFI) during routine work… We were on alert as the PM was coming. We got info on this & started probing closely. FIR filed against 26 people, of which 3 arrested. No direct threat regarding PM. Further probe underway: Patna SSP to ANI https://t.co/qmqNIYqjwl

It was revealed that the arrested duo was training in Phulwari Sharif, 15 days before PM Modi’s visit. The arrested terror suspects held several meetings on July 6 and 7 to find out ways to target PM Modi.

The Phulwari Sharif Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Manish Kumar briefed the media about the arrest and their links with extremist group PFI. One more horrific thing is that one of the arrested suspected terrorist, Mohammad Jallauddin, had served in the Jharkhand Police.

ASP Manish Kumar said, “The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Jallauddin, a retired Jharkhand police officer, and Athar Parvez, current member of PFI & SDPI. Parvez’s younger brother went to jail in 2001-02 bomb blasts in state after SIMI was banned. They have links with PFI. Jallauddin was earlier associated with Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI)”.

Additionally, during the raid, the police found many incriminating documents from the suspect’s possession. One of the documents had a title – ‘2047 India Towards Rule of Islamic India’.

Islamic Rule to subjugate coward majority

The 8-page long document which was to be circulated “internally” to rage a full-fledged violent act mentioned that even if only 10% of the total Muslims support PFI, the PFI would “subjugate the coward majority community & bring back the glory”. The communal group wanted to bring back the rule of Mughals and repeat the atrocities on the ‘majority community’.

It also mentioned that in a “scenario of full-fledged show down with the state”, it would need help from friendly Islamic countries apart from its cadre. It also talked about the increasing tie between the extremist group PFI and Turkiye.

#WATCH | An excerpt from 8-page long document they shared amongst themselves titled 'India vision 2047' says, 'PFI confident that even if 10% of total Muslim population rally behind it, PFI would subjugate coward majority community & bring back the glory': Bihar SSP Manish Kumar pic.twitter.com/MIId3qUXZE

— ANI (@ANI) July 13, 2022

Early stage of investigation has revealed that in the garb of Martial arts, the suspected terror duo were teaching youth how to use swords and knives. They also brainwashed and motivated them for communal violence. Youth from other states like Kerala, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu visited the place. All these youth used fake identities and aliases for their stay and hiding their real identity.

ASP Manish Kumar said, “They were teaching locals how to use swords and knives and also instigating them for communal violence. An investigation has revealed that people from other states were visiting them in Patna. Those visitors used to change their names while staying in hotels in the Bihar capital to conceal their identities”.

On July 6-7, in name of martial arts, locals were taught to use swords & knives. They instigated others toward religious violence. We have CCTV footage as well as witness accounts. Parvez also raised funds in lakhs, ED is being involved for the same: Bihar SSP Manish Kumar pic.twitter.com/D9o6YKFgMn

— ANI (@ANI) July 13, 2022

Police also revealed that the arrested duo received funding from Islamic countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Turkey. They used this illicit money to run anti-national activities and campaigns while staying in the country. To bust this economic nexus, the Enforcement Directorate will join the probe.

ASP Manish said, “During the investigation, it was found that Parvez was in constant touch with members of several overseas organisations and was raising foreign funds to carry out anti-India activities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also been engaged by the police for further probe pertaining to their money trail”.

Since the plan seems to have many terror connections, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has joined this terror module probe.

It is great to learn that such an evil plan was foiled by the authorities in time. This case shows that few Islamic organisations are hatching sinister conspiracies against the nation and want to carry out a religious agenda at any cost. This also proves that while the theory of Ghazwa-e-Hind may have no takers at all and have no foundations in strong and resilient India, the theory is far from being just a conspiracy theory. It is time for India to step up and act on zero-tolerance policy towards any form of radicalisation.
