Yogi, Himanta and Fadnavis – The three pillars of BJP’s future national leadership

A party that aims to govern for a long time has to have three basic tenets – Ideology, Leaders and strong committed cadre. The BJP grew from a two member party to the central pole in Indian politics. But as they say, no one is immune to the test of time. The core group of the party has departed to heaven abode so it becomes important for the party to keep nurturing new talents. So, let us ponder on the new leadership that will play the key roles at the national level for decades ahead.

UPYOGI

The most populous Indian state, Uttar Pradesh had earned a moniker of being a den for mafias and criminals. The industries fearing from such mafias never showed interest to invest in the state. But change is the only constant and that has been possible under the firm and decisive leadership of Yogi Adityanath. With his Zero-tolerance to crime and criminals, he has successfully demonstrated the way to uphold rule of law to every other state. His “Bulldozer against mafias/criminals” coupled with Gunda Act to seize their illegally amassed properties have been lauded and replicated in many states.

This has made the state less prone to mob rampage, vandalism and hooliganism. Further, his keen interest to make UP the top performer in terms of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) leaving behind Maharashtra has been pivotal in drafting new investment-friendly initiatives and policies/schemes. The state is working on a war footing to achieve 1 trillion dollars and witnessing tremendous economic numbers.

Apart from economy, law and order, he is leading the renaissance of Indian civilisation, spirituality, history and culture. Be it the Bhagya Shri Ram Mandir,  Deepotsav in Ayodhya or hosting Kumbh Mela in the grand possible manner. Further, he has been drastically reforming the education and health care system in the state. Unlike many other leaders he has come out of the shadow of PM Modi and has made a space for himself in the political landscape. With his vast political acumen he has become one of the star campaigners for the party. All this has stamped the fact that he is an able administrator, staunch Hindu nationalist and a development driven leader.

Man with a mission

For a very long time, the development and aspirations of North-Eastern states was neglected by the then leaderships in Delhi. This created a sense of alienation and ignorance among the citizens. This was nefariously channelised by the enemies of India and turned into armed rebellion and uprising. Further, with a lacklustre policy the North Eastern states became a breeding ground for illegal Muslim immigrants. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The leader who was not allowed to break the glass ceiling in the Congress party proved to be the game changer for the BJP in the North-Eastern states.

Within no time of his joining the saffron party, Himanta rose to the stature of North Eastern Democratic Alliance convenor and delivered victory for the alliance in all the states. This vindicates his coordination and management skills. Further, he went on to replace the incumbent CM after the party’s massive comeback in the state without any hue and cry within the party. This reflects his leadership skills to carry everyone along with him.

With his stern actions against the illegal immigrants and clear headed policy on the National Register of Citizenship (NRC) he seems to be committed in weeding out all the illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims. Further, he doesn’t mince his words and calls spade a spade. Rather than being politically correct, he has made this clear that the state will assimilate religiously persecuted refugee Hindus.

He has taken on himself to undertake all the earlier avoided politically incorrect decisions like reforming the educations in the Muslim community or ban on Cow sluaghter within the vicinity of Mandirs among others. He has made state border water tight for illegal immigrants and drugs.

Further, he is no lesser match to CM Yogi in terms of enforcing law and order or planning development policies within the state.

Mirror for opposition

The BJP has painted the central canvas in its favour, the opposition has failed miserably in putting up genuine matters of public concern and has resorted to opposition for the sake of opposition. At such a time, there is a leader in Maharashtra who has single handedly shaken the core of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. He has proven to be no less than a living embodiment of strong and responsible opposition. He has exposed the misdeeds and corruption of the party and has rallied several parties to speak against their misgovernance.

Earlier, he had grown the party from strength to strength. From being the junior partner in the state to the biggest party he has shown his leadership quality and led a development driven government in his term in the office of Maharashtra CM. Had the Shiv Sena not danced on political tones of shrewd craftsman Sharad Pawar and staged a political coup, Devendra Fadnavis would have taken the state way ahead on the road of development.

In the recent elections to seats of Rajya Sabha and State legislative council, he demonstrated high quality skills of meticulous planning, execution and cooperation with all the likeminded Independent candidates and smaller parties.

With its core ideology of Hindutva and nationalism coupled with pro-welfare schemes, the party has solid plans on the ideological front. The party has been quick to amend all the bottlenecks in the organisational structure and keep on strengthening new tactics like Panna pramukh and others. So, with able leaders in the form of Yogis, Himanta and Fadnavis the party has checked all the boxes to be the key player in the political landscape for decades to come. So, don’t be surprised to see any or all of them to be in the top Union cabinet and governing India on the path of development taking along Civilisational ethos.
