If there’s any politician who knows exactly how to deal with those involved in any criminal act, it is Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi’s intellect when it comes to teaching the Islamists and rioters a lesson is incomparable. This is why criminals have been running for their lives ever since Yogi Administration came to power.
His ‘Bulldozer model’ is already being hailed by the CMs of even non-BJP states. He is now back to his poster model to ‘name and shame’ those involved in the Kanpur clashes.
Yogi’s unbeatable poster model is back
On Monday, the Uttar Pradesh Police released a poster displaying pictures of key suspects of the violence that erupted in Kanpur a few days back. The poster reportedly carried photographs of 40 suspects whose information was gathered from close-circuit cameras. Reportedly, public help was also sought to help trace the suspects.
Along with the pictures, a contact number is also mentioned in the poster so that people can reach out to the department if they have any leads.

“We have identified about 100 more stone-pelters and rioters through CCTV footage and video clips,” said Anand Prakash Tiwari, additional commissioner of police, law and order.
Search operations are underway, and raids are also being conducted at all possible hideouts to arrest rioters at the earliest, he added.
According to several reports, the Kanpur police will be distributing the poster to districts in Kerala, Delhi, and Western UP and will be putting up the hoardings in and around the area where riots happened.
Kanpur clashes
The city of Kanpur witnessed ‘peaceful’ mobs hurling bombs and pelting stones at each other as violence erupted after groups of people forced shopkeepers to put shutters down on 3rd of June.
The violence in Kanpur erupted in Pared, Nai Sadak and Yateemkhana areas of the city as the minority community staged a protest against remarks made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma against Prophet Mohammed during a TV debate.

As of now,38 arrests have been made in the case that had injured at least six people.
Maulana Mohammed Ali (MMA) Jauhar Fans Association chief Hayat Zafar Hashmi, the alleged mastermind of the violence, was arrested from Hazratganj area of the state capital on Saturday, as per the Police information.
Yogi Government’s strategy to ‘Name and Shame’ offenders
It is not the first time that UP government has resorted to ‘poster model’, to name and shame such rioters and miscreants. Earlier in 2020, it had revealed the identities of people involved in crimes against women such as eve-teasing and harassment by putting up posters with their names and photos at public places.
Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath had directed officials to publicise such posters at road intersections and public places.
“The Chief Minister has directed that posters of criminals involved in molesting women, girls and children, misbehaviour and sexual harassment cases be displayed on road intersections and public places, along with the names of those aiding such criminals, so that people come to know about them,” a statement issued by the government said.
Now, he is adopting the poster model once again to teach the rioters of Kanpur clashes.
