Protest, stone pelting and rioting after Jumme ki Namaz seems to have become a pattern. Yesterday, on the 10th of June, India yet again witnessed several gory scenes after Friday Namaz. While the alleged communal statements are still being probed, the Islamists have taken law and order for a toss. The widespread violent protest and rioting in many cities reflects a well oiled machine working behind it. Also, the coordinated attacks hint of some sinister plans at play.

Jumme ki Namaz and Protest thereof

While many Muslims offer Namaz five times a day, but Friday Namaz in Islam is considered a necessary practice. That is why on every Friday, Muslims gather in huge numbers to offer Namaz. But what seems to be a peaceful and holy cause for them has many times turned into a tool for violent protest. The Islamists with several violent protests, communal and bigoted anti-Hindu slogans have disgraced Friday Namaz. Evidently, yesterday in the name of alleged Blasphemy, Islamists went on a rampage and again maligned the cause of Friday Namaz.

Violent Protests

On 10th June Friday, the act of stone pelting was witnessed in many of the Muslim dominated areas. The violent Islamists mob created ruckus near the Jama Masjid after Namaz in Delhi. In Uttar Pradesh too, fanatic mobs in the garb of protest made an anarchic situation. In Moradabad, Deoband and Prayagraj, the Islamists tried to flare the communal tensions and torched several immovable properties.

The violent protests were also registered in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Maharashtra. In Ranchi, Police had to open fire to control the mob frenzy in which 2 are reported dead. In Belagavi, some unidentified radicals went to the extent that they hung Nupur Sharma’s effigy for an alleged act.

What’s the Backdrop and way forward?

The radically charged Islamic mobs have alleged former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma of doing Blasphemy. Since then several Islamic nations too have registered their protests. But in the name of Blasphemy, several abhorrent communal rallies have been organised which terrorise the innocent civilians and hide for their life. In these rallies the Islamists are blatantly giving threats and calling for beheading of alleged Blaspheme. The gory scenes of mob chanting Sir-tan-se-juda have become a norm. The only way forward is to stop this mob frenzy is the strictest possible actions, and create a fear of law in everyone.

It is disheartening to see that instead of knocking the legal doors Islamists are creating bloodthirsty scenes. It is high time that authorities take strict actions against those who are taking law and order in their hands. As in a well civilised society rule of law is supreme. As without the rule of law anarchy prevails. In which those who are powerless get vanquished. To uphold the rule of law, all the citizens must have faith in the democratic Institutions. Even in case of fiercest grievance, the doors of Justice must be the only resort that is opted.
