In a ‘secular’ country called India where liberals, opposition and left-leaning journalists keep sympathising with Islamists, another Hindu has been killed. In the country where Hindus are in majority and the minority claims that it is being ‘suppressed’, another Hindu has been killed. But who cares, right?
Well, we do, and we believe that the Gehlot government is completely responsible for the gruesome murder of Kanhaiya Lal.
Another Kishan and Kamlesh that is Kanhaiya Lal
A middle class man, who used to run a tailor shop for the survival of his family, was hacked to death yesterday in broad daylight. All this violence for what? All because he lent support to former BJP leader Nupur Sharma. The shameless Islamists beheaded the man and posted a video later to take responsibility of the gruesome murder.
Boasting about the beheading, the two Islamist murderers claimed that the murder of Kanhaiya Lal is the retaliation for what the victim had done by sharing a post in support of Nupur Sharma.
Section 144 has been imposed in Rajasthan for a month, and Internet services were cut for 24 hours across the state.
The video of the incident displays Kanhaiya Lal, taking measurements of one of the assailants who later identified himself as Riyaz. Moving ahead, it shows how another man attacks the tailor Kanhaiya Lal on his neck with a cleaver and the victim can be heard asking “Kya hua? Batao toh sahi (What happened? Tell me)”.
“This murder has been committed for ideological reasons, in the name of religion. The NIA will explore if there is any angle of terrorism and provide whatever assistance required to the state police,” a senior Central Government official said.
Gehlot government responsible for the killing
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, took to Twitter to condemn the “heinous murder” of Kanhaiya Lal, and said “strict action will be taken against all the criminals involved in this incident” and that “the police will go to the bottom of the crime”.
But, would condemning the crime bring Kanhaiya Lal back to life? Can a tweet bring law and order to the state which has been taken to the toss ever since the Gehlot government came into power? Would the condemning silence the anti-Hindu voices, and I ask you, Mr. Gehlot, would the condemning teach any lesson to the Islamists who are openly calling for the beheading and killing of people brutally?
According to the police, Lal had informed earlier that his son had “mistakenly” posted an “objectionable comment” on Facebook and was not aware of the post until some local residents questioned him.

Moreover, he had asked for security weeks before he was murdered, as the Islamists had threatened him for his life. In a letter to the local administration demanding security, he had told the police that his neighbour Nazim and a few others were stalking him regularly.
And what did the police do? It took action against Kanhaiya Lal himself. Yes, don’t be shocked. This is the Rajasthan government and police. If you ask them to provide safety, they put you behind bars, and they did exactly the same with Kanhaiya, who was arrested.
ASI Bhanwar, however, has been suspended, as he did not pay heed to the concern raised by Lal. But, unfortunately, it too can’t bring back Kanhaiya to life.
Simply put, gruesome murder of Kanhaiya Lal is nothing but the consequence of the state government and its police’s ignorance of the rising intolerance against Hindus in the state.
