Have you ever used a person, who is not present at that point of time to defend himself, as a fall guy? Though everyone at some point of time may have done it, you will definitely oppose anyone using a departed soul as a scapegoat for their alleged misdeeds. Apparently the grand old party, Congress, to save itself from its own shoddy deals is stooping to a new low. It is blaming the deceased party member as the key mastermind of their alleged usurping.
I didn’t do it, Motilal did everything
Congress has become synonymous with Corruption. There are hardly any years, if not months, that news of their corruption does not make headlines.
Since, the heat of the law now seems to become unbearable for the Congress and its top leaders, Rahul Gandhi and others are resorting to hiding behind a dead person. They are stooping to an unfathomable low as they are using late Motilal Vora as the scapegoat to get away with all the allegations of Corruption.

As per Enforcement Directorate sources, The National Herald case took an eccentric turn when Congress ever-youthful leader Rahul Gandhi told the ED that former Congress treasurer Motilal Vora was responsible for all the transactions between Young Indian and Associated Journals Ltd (AJL).
This seems to be a pure diversion tactic to blame everything on the deceased party member, Motilal Vora. Apparently, when the ED grilled the Gandhi scion regarding his links to the National Herald case, he tried to deflect all the allegations on deceased party member Motilal Vora.
Earlier, Motilal Vora was also interrogated by the ED in the case but he passed away in December 2020. This gave levy for Rahul Gandhi to shield himself and shift the blame on the departed soul as the dead can’t defend themselves and expose all these lies and deceits.
Notably, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi are the majority shareholders in the tainted organisation ‘Young India’. They hold around 76% stakes in it while the deceased Motilal Vora and Oscar Fernandes (died in September 2021) held the 12% each.

BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonwala lambasted the Congress party for using late Motilal Vora as the fall guy for all their illegal acts. He said, “The first family of Corruption has shifted the onus of its money heist on Motilal Vora. This is the typical behaviour of those caught in criminal activity. Why is Rahul Gandhi silent before the ED on Young India’s usurping of Rs 2,000 crores of the AJL? Shifting the blame is unfair”.
This is not a new thing for Rahul Gandhi as he is a habitual offender who uses a deceased person to resurrect his dead politics. Evidently, to accuse the Modi government for corruption in the Rafale acquisition, he tried to misquote late Manohar Parrikar which obviously backfired against him.

What else may be blamed on late Motilal Vora?
Going on this trend, do not be surprised if the Congress party blames the late politician for its long list of ‘Corruption’. The 1976 Oil scam, in which a $200-million contract was awarded to the Hong Kong-based Kuo Oil Co. This effectively doled out Rs 13 crore from the government’s coffer. It was reported that indirectly money went to Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi. This too can be blamed on Motilal Vora.
Why dishonour late Motilal Vora alone?
As the list of Congress’ Corruption is long, so is the list of deceased party leaders who can receive such ‘honour’ posthumously from the party. The crown jewels of Congress are still afresh in the memories of everyone. So, 2G scam can be shoved on Ahmed Patel, Commonwealth scam on Motilal Vora, Agustawestland VIP chopper scam on Oscar Fernandes, Coal scam on Sriprakash Jaiswal and so on.
If only the dead could speak, all the fox masquerading as hen would be exposed. Politicians should have some civility. They should resist such apathetic behaviour and not hide behind a dead person who cannot defend himself. Being a politician is an example for the society to be followed. Own up to your acts and use ethical ways to defend yourself.
