Sasha Grey also known as Shasha Grey is an American actress, model, writer, singer, and former pornographic actress who was born on March 14, 1988. Grey’s acting career began in the pornographic film industry, where she won 15 accolades between 2007 and 2010, including the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year in 2008. Grey plays Chelsea, an escort who is paid to act as her clients’ girlfriend, in filmmaker Steven Soderbergh’s film The Girlfriend Experience. After reading Grey’s article in a Los Angeles magazine, Soderbergh cast her. Soderbergh recommended Grey study Jean-Luc Godard’s films Vivre sa vie and Pierrot le Fou, both of which star Anna Karina, while she prepared for her performance in The Girlfriend Experience. Grey and Soderbergh also spoke with two escorts on their personalities and mannerisms.
She played Viola DeWynter in the 2011 video game Saints Row: The Third, and she reprised the role in Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell in 2015.
