Had Al Qaeda not been in the business of carrying out terror activities, I would have appreciated the organisation today. Yes, don’t be shocked, and better not judge before listening to what I have to say. The affiliate of the terrorist group Al Qaeda, in my opinion, should have been in another profession that requires art, poetic thoughts, and similar skills. At least, this is what their beautifully worded poetry suggests.
Please don’t tell me that you haven’t come across this poetic letter. Well, my bad. The poetic letter I am talking about is basically a threat letter by Al Qaeda to Indians. While the ‘threat’ letter failed miserably to intimidate us Indians, a quick read of the letter highlights the impeccable writing skills of its affiliate group.
Al Qaeda beautifully worded threat
The Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) issued a letter to warn about the suicide bombings in Indian cities. The terrorist organisation has threatened Indians to avenge the insult to the Prophet. In a ‘threat letter’ dated June 6, the AQIS said it would launch suicide attacks in Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat to “fight for the honour of the Prophet”.
All the states have been informed by the intelligence agencies and are on high alert.
“A few days ago, the propagators and flag bearers of Hindutva – a system and philosophy hostile to the religion and Shariah of Allah – insulted and slandered the purest of beings, the most honourable after God himself, Muhammad al Mustafa, Ahmad al Mujtaba, and his noble and pure wife, the mother of the believers, Sayyidah Ayesha bint Abu Bakr as Siddeeq in the most vile and evil manner on an Indian TV channel. In response to this affront, the hearts of Muslim all over the world are bleeding and are filled with feelings of revenge and retribution,” the letter says.
It adds, “We warn every audacious and impudent foul mouth of the world, especially the Hindutva terrorists occupying Indian that we should fight for the dignity of our Prophet, we should urge others to fight and die for the honour of our Prophet, we should kill those who affront our Prophet and we should bind explosives with our bodies and the bodies of our children to blow away the ranks of those who dare to dishonour our Prophet.”
“The saffron terrorists should now await their end in Delhi, Bombay, UP and Gujarat. They should find refuge neither in their homes nor in their fortified army cantonments,” the letter states.
Al Qaeda has turned into a publishing house
If you go through the letter by Al Qaeda and take a deep look at the writing skills, you’ll see how beautifully the sentences have been formed, that too, with great vocabulary. The writing appears quite poetic and this is what makes me rethink whether the terrorist organisation has turned into a publishing house. Though the letter failed horrifically to do the job it was actually supposed to do, I wholeheartedly want to say that the letter reflects great writing skills.
The co-founder of TFI, Atul Mishra, tweeted to ‘praise’ the skills that have been used to threaten India by writing such a ‘cute’ letter and tweeted, “Sure! we’re scared. Al Qaeda would have if it could have, and Al Qaeda won’t because it can’t. But great vocabulary, good sentence formation and very poetic too.”

You see, the letter failed to even faze me and my TFI colleagues. That’s probably because of the faith we have in our Indian army and the government which has done a commendable job to retaliate against Pakistan’s vicious agendas by doing surgical strikes. More importantly, the terror organisation seems to have been reduced to a publishing house and India doesn’t need to be scared of its poetic threat letters.
