Sophie Choudry is an Indian-born British singer, host, and actress. She is primarily known for her work in Hindi cinema, although she is also a former MTV India VJ, occasional model, and television presenter. She was born on February 8, 1982, in Manchester, England. She began her career in the late 1990s on Zee Tv UK, when she hosted Zee Top 10, a chart program based in the UK/Europe that became the channel’s number one show for several years before she embarked on her own music career.

Choudry began her career as a singer. Her skill was found when she was 12 years old[10] by famed music director Biddu, who launched her musical career. Initially, she supported playback singers Shweta Shetty and Alisha Chinai as backup singers.
Sophie Choudry began her career as a pop singer in 2000 with her all-female band “Sansara,” with a song she wrote herself (“Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai”).
