Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi is a young Tamilnadu politician and MLA from the DMK. In 2016 and 2021 he was elected to the Tamilnadu Assembly from the Thiruverumbur district. Political Career
He joined the DMK party after a decade of working as a software developer in several IT areas, following in the footsteps of his family members who served in the party.
In the year 2000, he began his political career as a party worker. He was appointed as the Youth Wing Secretary in 2014 after actively participating in numerous party activities. In 2016, he was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Thiruverumbur constituency.
In May 2021, he was elected as an MLA for the second time from the Thiruverumbur constituency, and he was assigned as the Tamil Nadu School Education Minister.

He is the grandson of former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Minister Anbil P. Dharmalingam and the eldest son of former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLA Anbil Poyyamozhi.
Anbil Periyasamy, his uncle, is also a politician and former DMK MLA. He is a close friend of Udhayanidhi Stalin, the current DMK Youth Wing secretary and Legislative Assembly Member from the Chepauk-Triplicane seat.

Education
He attended Trichy ER Higher Secondary School and Bishop Heber College Tiruchirappalli, where he earned his Master’s in Computer Application (MCA) in April 2001.
