Sai Pallavi is an Indian actress and dancer who has worked in films in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. She has won numerous awards, including two Filmfare Awards for her roles in the films Premam (2015) and Fidaa (2016). (2017).
Pallavi is a medical doctor who earned her MBBS (medical degree) in 2016.
Career
Pallavi starred in Kasthuri Maan (2005) and Dhaam Dhoom as a child actress in uncredited roles (2008).
Alphonse Puthren offered her the character of Malar in his film Premam while she was studying in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2014. She shot the film over the holidays and then returned to her studies after the filming was completed. She also went on to win multiple “Best Female Debut” accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, that year.
She took a month out from school in late 2015 to act in her second film, Kali, which was released in March 2016. She was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for her role as Anjali, a young wife who must deal with her husband’s significant anger issues.
She was named one of India’s 30 under 30 by Forbes magazine in 2020. She was the only individual in the list who worked in the film industry. She also appeared in Vetrimaaran’s Oor Iravu, a Netflix anthology film series based on Paava Kadhaigal. She co-starred alongside Naga Chaitanya in the romance drama Love Story in 2021, her second collaboration with Sekhar Kammula after Fidaa (2017), and Shyam Singa Roy opposite Nani in their second collaboration after MCA. Virata Parvam, in which she stars alongside Rana Daggubati, is her upcoming film.

She originally gained fame for her performance as Malar in the Malayalam film Premam, in which she starred in 2015. She subsequently went on to star in the film Kali (2016). She made her Telugu debut in the love film Fidaa (2017) as Bhanumati and her Tamil debut with Diya (2018). Forbes magazine named her one of India’s top 30 under 30 in 2020.

Sai Pallavi was born on May 9, 1992 in Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district. Senthamarai Kannan and Radha are from a Badaga family. Pooja, her younger sister, has worked as an actor as well. Pallavi grew up and received her education in Coimbatore.
She attended Avila Convent School in Coimbatore for her education. She has not yet registered as a medical practitioner (doctor) in India, despite having completed her medical studies in 2016 at the Tbilisi State Medical University, which is recognized by the Medical Council of India. On August 31, 2020, she sat the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in Trichy.
