Career
During his college years, Zeeshan began his performing career in the theatre. He went on to become even more active with theatre after completing his training at NSD. He made his Bollywood debut, though, in the 2011 historical thriller No One Killed Jessica, in which he played Monu, the main antagonist.
The film, which was based on the 1999 Jessica Lal murder case and starring Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji in crucial parts, received widespread acclaim from both audiences and reviewers. Following his debut, he appeared in films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran Khan and Jannat 2 with Emraan Hashmi, playing the heroes’ friend.

Taking a break from his usual roles, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub was cast in the biographical drama Shahid, where he played Arif Azmi, Shahid’s older brother, who is played by Rajkummar Rao. The film earned positive reviews from critics and went on to win two National Film Awards in 2014. He then went on to star in the critically acclaimed Maazii, which was well-received despite the absence of major stars, with critics remarking that it is a film that should not be missed. In 2015, he played the role of a shameless and street savvy Chintu who falls in love with Tanu in the romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

In 2007, Zeeshan married Rasika Agashe, a television actor and theatre personality. Raahi, the couple’s daughter, was born in 2015, while Topi and Huraira, their two cats, live with them in their Mumbai flat.
Early life
The actor was born in Delhi and completed his education at Kendriya Vidyalaya before enrolling at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, to pursue a B. Sc degree. His parents were both devoted theatrical artists, although his father also worked as a teacher.
His father is a Muslim, but his mother is a Hindu. During his college years, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub came across his campus’s theatre society, which piqued his attention in a variety of ways. His parents encouraged him to explore the numerous colours of acting, despite his initial reluctance to join the theatre. After that, he enrolled at New Delhi’s National School of Drama.
