If ‘The Kashmir Files’ gave liberals the wounds, RRR is the one rubbing the salt

The Kashmir Files has turned out to be a grand box office success. RRR is turning out to be an even bigger success. But this isn’t good news for the left-liberal ecosystem because it turns out to be yet another blockbuster that steers away from their traditional narrative.

And there are three big reasons why RRR is rubbing salt into the wounds inflicted upon the left-liberal ecosystem by The Kashmir Files.

Honouring the sidelined heroes

You must have seen the RRR song ‘Sholay’ by now. If you haven’t, then take my word- it is one song that you cannot miss.

The song appears during the end credits of the movie and shows Alia, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR paying tribute to some of the country’s underrated and unsung freedom fighters and heroes.

They can be seen paying tribute to Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Now, these are the very heroes who have been side-tracked systematically by the left-liberal ecosystem. Still, the movie recognises their contribution to the country’s history.

Showing Lala Lajpat Rai in his true glory

Lala Lajpat Rai was one of the biggest leaders of his era. It was, in fact, his gruesome murder by the British that mobilized national sentiment in a big way and led to the resurgence of revolutionary sentiment against the British Raj.

However, the so-called historians and intelligentsia never discussed his importance in the freedom struggle in the true context.

However, RRR makes a departure from the deep-rooted ignorance against Lala Lajpat Rai.

Rajamouli’s RRR actually starts from a huge crowd scene with protesters showing their anger against the arrest of Lala Lajpat Rai by the British authorities. So, the movie succeeded in putting Lala Lajpat Rai at the centre of its plot despite a history of the left-liberal ecosystem’s attempts to whitewash him from India’s history.

Honouring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

For the left-liberal ecosystem, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has become a symbol of their growing irrelevance.

Ever since Prime Minister Modi came to power, he has made it a point to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his contribution in keeping India’s territorial integrity intact. Sardar Patel is actually someone who ensured that India remained united after the British left the country in a delicate position following their decades-old policy of ‘divide and rule’.

Yet, so-called historians and intelligentsia have found it convenient to sideline Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution in the country’s history. RRR, however, honours Sardar Patel to the utter dismay of the left-liberal ecosystem.

In fact, RRR had started disappointing the left-liberal ecosystem even before its release.

The pan-India cast of ‘RRR’ including director S.S. Rajamouli, and actors Junior NTR and Ram Charan visited the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue of Unity recently. ‘RRR’ effectively became the first movie to reach the iconic monument constructed in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The official Twitter handle of ‘State of Unity’ stated, “Renowned film director @ssrajamouli & actors N T Rama Rao Jr. & Ram Charan visited Statue of Unity today. In their message they said we need to remind ourselves about virtues of Sardar Patel. It takes an ‘iron will’ to build such a statue, they added.”

The movie therefore proudly recognises the role of national heroes, whose contribution has been traditionally underrated by the left-dominated intelligentsia. This movie is therefore bound to leave the left-liberal ecosystem rattled.
