Prem Govind Sinha and Sushila Sinha raised Sinha in Allahabad. He attended school in Kalagarh, Garhwal, Allahabad’s Government Inter College, and Varanasi’s Queen’s College. Sinha graduated from Aligarh Muslim University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1988.

Anubhav Sinha Career Biography
As we are talking about biography of Anubhav Sinha how can we forget his career so let’s talk about that too. He worked as a theatrical performer in New Delhi for two years before relocating to Mumbai on December 4, 1990. He began his career as an assistant director under Pankaj Parashar till 1994, when he left to work as a freelance television director for Zee TV. He was recognised for his efforts on Shikast, the TV network’s flagship show in Mumbai. Following that, UTV aired the TV show Sea Hawks. Sea Hawks was the number one show on all networks for 35 weeks. After 72 episodes, he moved on to directing music videos.
In the year 2000, he abandoned his job as a music video director to begin work on his debut feature picture, Tum Bin. Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik, and Raqesh Vashisth appeared in the film. It went on to become a massive box office hit and has since acquired cult status.
Priyanshu Chatterjee and Sakshi Shivanand appeared in Sinha’s second film, Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai.
Dus, a multi-starrer, was his third feature and the seventh biggest earning picture of 2005. Then came Tathastu (2006) and Cash (2007).

Before directing and producing Tum Bin II and Mulk, Sinha directed and produced Ra.One, a superhero film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor for which he also authored the script alongside Kanika Dhillon.
Sinha’s production company, Benaras Media Works, produced and directed Article 15 in 2019, starring Ayushmann Khurrana. Article 15 of the Indian Constitution prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth, and the film is based on that provision. The film was a commercial success and earned mostly positive reviews from reviewers.
Anubhav Sinha directed Thappad, a film starring Taapsee Pannu that was released on February 28, 2020, and earned mostly positive reviews from reviewers but was only a moderate box office success. Anubhav Sinha is also the founder and owner of Benaras Media Works, a production firm he founded in 2012 to help him develop his films and television shows.
