Career
In the 2005-06 Ranji Trophy, Jalaj Saxena made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh on December 17, 2005. He made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2005–06 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 10, 2006. He made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2009-10 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on October 21, 2009.
In the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy, Jalaj Saxena was Madhya Pradesh’s joint second-highest wicket-taker with 18 wickets.
In the 2008–09 Ranji Trophy, Jalaj scored 443 runs at an average of 55.37, including three centuries. He topped the Madhya Pradesh bowlers and also got his first List A century in the 2008-09 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Jalaj Saxena was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on December 15, 1986. Saxena’s father worked at the Bhilai Steel Plant as a professional swimmer. Saxena tried swimming at first but was allergic to it. He subsequently began taking cricket lessons in order to imitate his older brother, Jatin. Jalaj began his career as a fast-bowling allrounder before transitioning to an off-spinner. Jatin later played domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Jalaj Saxena is professional cricketer and his biography is incomplete without talking about his IPL journey so let’s discuss about it. In the 2013 and 2014 IPL seasons, Jalaj Saxena was a member of the Mumbai Indians. For the 2015 Indian Premier League, he joined Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League, he was purchased by the Delhi Capitals.
Prior to the 2020 IPL auction, he was released by the Delhi Capitals.

For the 2016–17 season, Jalaj Saxena signed a one-year contract with Kerala as a professional player.
With 44 dismissals in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, he was the leading wicket-taker, and he was instrumental in Kerala’s first-ever quarter-final appearance.
He was also Kerala’s second-highest run scorer. He was picked to India Green’s squad for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy in July 2018. With 551 runs in nine matches, he was Kerala’s best run-scorer in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. He also became the only Indian to smash a century and take an eight-wicket innings-haul in the same match in the season’s match against Andhra Pradesh, having done so previously against Rajasthan in the previous season.
