After Punjab, it is now Telangana which has gone anti-Bihar

Telangana, Bihar, Chani, Punjab

Bihar, a state famous for its contribution to bureaucracy, has now been turned into a laughing stock for the same by the Indian national congress. The Congress after calling out the Biharis in Punjab has now dragged them into the land of Telangana. It’s high time, Congress should forbid themselves from creating divides on a regional basis.

Congress’s flawed policy: Divide and Rule

The Britishers who ruled here for centuries are guilty of dividing India in the name of religion. They turned Hindus, Muslims and Christians against each other in order to hold tight in power. Today it seems that the British were just replaced by a dynasty whose membership still has the DNA of colonial power.

Congress has often been accused of carrying out the British paradigm of ‘Divide and Rule‘. The history of independent India is replete with examples of the same.

Recently, a prominent attempt to divide people on a regional basis was witnessed in Punjab, when Congress CM Charanjit Singh Channi said, he will not allow the bhaiyaas of UP and Bihar to put the foot in Punjab. After Punjab, a similar controversy has now stirred up in Telangana.

Telangana Congress on Channi’s footprints

Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy is walking in the footsteps of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, as he has uncouthly tried to stoke a north-south divide. While addressing Congress party workers in Secunderabad, Reddy took a ‘Bihar batch’ jibe at the state bureaucrats. He accused CM KCR of handing over all the important posts to officers of the Bihar cadre and said that the Bihar batch is ruling the state.

Reddy while addressing the party workers said, “Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Municipal Administration Secretary Arvind Kumar, another senior IAS officer Sandeep Sultania, Irrigation Secretary Rajat Kumar and in Incharge DGP IPS Anjani Kumar all hail from Bihar. The Bihar batch is ruling the state.”

While mocking the Bihar cadre officers, he made a baseless allegation that due to the posting of these officers the IAS and IPS officers of Telangana origin are not getting the opportunity they deserve.

He did not stop by mocking the officer cadre but went on to criticize I-PAC owner political strategist Prashant Kishore. While targeting the KCR government of Telangana, the state President got himself unveiled. Reddy further hurled a direct attack on CM KCR, saying that his ancestors are from Bihar.

His statements not only brings into light his deep-seated antipathy towards his political opposition but also the Congress’s apathy for a particular region that thrived.

While hurling these kinds of statements towards a region, the Congress party as a whole lose sight of how culturally rich Bihar has been, and the Congress itself is responsible for the deteriorating situation that once loomed over Bihar.

Congress crippled Bihar through FEP

Congress was handed over the power by the Britishers. After coming to power, the party made some blunders whose brunt India is bearing to date. One such blunder is Freight Equalisation Policy. With this disastrous policy, Congress snatched industries from the mineral-rich states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. The policy was fully biased, one side it allowed the states like Gujarat and Maharashtra to maintain their hegemony in cotton. On the other, it made the Eastern states systematically poor by snatching their resources such as iron, cement, steel.

The Congress is guilty of two things first snatching the prospects of growth from the several Indian states prominently Bihar and second for scoffing at whatever ladder the Biharis had to climb to reach success. Well, the Biharis know to take their revenge very well and the political outcast of Congress in Bihar is simply a result of that.
