Tyagi was born in Bangalore, India, on October 6, 1989. Sophia High School in Bangalore was where she received her education. She studied dance at Shiamak Davar’s institute in Bangalore, her hometown, before assisting Bollywood choreographer Pony Verma on the song “Mere Dholna” from the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
She moved back and forth between Bangalore and Mumbai for two years before settling in Mumbai.
Career
In 2007, Roopal Tyagi began her career as a choreographer. After making her acting debut in Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah as Mansha, she went on to star in Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi. She also starred alongside Prachi Desai and Ram Kapoor in the Zee TV programme Kasamh Se. Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms produced the show.
In the Indian soap opera Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, she played Gunjan. Roopal Tyagi was a wildcard contestant in the eighth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but was eliminated after a week.
She was a participant on Bigg Boss 9 and was ousted in the second week of voting after being paired with Digangana Suryavanshi.
Tyagi was named Favorite Behen as Gunjan and Rachana (Mahima Makwana) and Favorite Nayi Jodi as Gunjan and Mayank at the Zee Rishtey Awards in 2012. (Ankit Gera). In 2013, she was nominated for an Indian Telly Award for her role as Gunjan in the film Fresh New Face.
