Congress once had an asset named Amarinder Singh. And, the party was enjoying the power in Punjab under his rule. But, the grand-old party fell into its own pit and inducted Navjot Singh Sidhu as state’s chief. The division within the party came wide open and the tussle gave rise to various infights. Given the political acumen of the Congress party, Amarinder was insulted by the high command and thrown out to retain a non-performing asset like Sidhu.
Enters Charanjit Singh Channi in the picture. He was made the incumbent Chief Minister of the border state. Interestingly, once the man-Friday of Sidhu, Channi began opposing Sidhu on various decisions. Now, its Sidhu vs Channi in Punjab.
Understand the chronology. The party seemingly is in no position to sweep the state. However, if it manages to win somehow, Sidhu will ensure the party’s downfall. We’ll tell you how.
Channi vs Sidhu
Ever since Charanjit Singh Channi was inducted as the Chief Minister of Punjab, the conflict between him and PPCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu began. The reasons were batting for their ministers to be inducted as both are eyeing the CM chair. Sidhu also objected to Channi’s decision to appoint advocate general APS Deol and state DGP.
Sidhu had also resigned from the post of state Congress president because he was rebuffed for being side-lined to retain Channi. However, a month later, he decided to withdraw his resignation.
It seems that the Congress party would be fighting against the Congress party in the 2022 assembly election with Sidhu led faction – which has the support of Rahul Gandhi – on one side and Channi on the other side who has the support of Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka wants Channi to stay as the CM
Channi who is popular among the people outside his assembly constituencies these days was once known by barely a few people in his region also. And now, he has become one of the most precious gems for Priyanka Gandhi. Congress has decided to field Channi from two assembly constituencies.

As per the opposition parties, he is contesting from two assembly seats in order to ensure that he emerges as the winner in at least one of them.
Priyanka Gandhi wants Channi to stay the CM because she might have realized that Sidhu can be too dangerous for the party’s stability.
Channi, on the contrary, is docile and restricts himself to the party’s line, which the Congress party admires even before Manmohan Singh days.
Notably, Channi was made the CM ensure a place for itself in the Dalit Sikh community.
Sidhu’s rebellious approach
It is evident that the political air in Punjab is directed towards Channi as the next CM, of course, if the party wins. On the other hand, Sidhu, Rahul Gandhi’s puppet, is leaving no stone unturned to appease high brass as he is harbouring dreams in his heart to become the next Chief Minister.
For the unversed, Sidhu is so desperate to become the CM that he ousted Amarinder to ensure his political gains. If not given the opportunity, Sidhu, for the kind of person he is, will go berserk and start campaigning against his own government.
We, in TFI, have time and again reported the strategies, sacrilegious cards, and all the alleged dramas of Sidhu. His rebellious attitude for all selfish reasons makes it evident that he considers his choices far more important than the party’s requirement.
And, given the current political scenario in the state, Channi seemingly holds the power. Thus, if the party manages to win, Sidhu will be sidelined and Channi will stay as the CM. This will lead the egoistic and selfish Sidhu to go against his own party and he will destroy the Punjab Congress.
That’s not Sidhu’s plan to destroy Congress in Punjab ! His real plan is quite simple – when he realized that Channi will be made the CM face, Sidhu told Pappu – ‘I will accept whoever you nominate as the CM, but please come & campaign in Punjab’ 😉 Pappu was flattered and walked into the trap 😝 Everybody knows that if Pappu campaigns extensively, Congress loses massively … 🤗
Afterall Fuddu is a nominee of the greatest Joker on the Indian soil ( people call him Pappu). This isca open war between Priyanka loyalists with friends of Pappu.
