Cricket Career of Simon Doull
Simon Doull appeared in only 32 Tests and 42 ODIs for the New Zealand national cricket side, capturing 98 and 36 wickets respectively. Doull’s finest hour came in the Boxing Day Wellington Test in 1998, when he took 7–65 against India. Before turning to analysis and television, he played his final Test against Australia in March 2000.

In the Boxing Day Test against India at the Basin Reserve in Wellington in 1998, Simon Doull had his best bowling stats of 7 for 65. On December 26, 1998, he achieved a career-high rating of 6 in the ICC Player Rankings as a result of such performance.

Simon Doull currently works as a cricket pundit for Magic Talk in New Zealand. He was a member of the Morning Rumble team on The Rock radio station until recently. Since the launch of the Indian Premier League in 2008, he has been a member of the commentary crew.
Family of Simon Doull
Lincoln Doull, who played for Wellington in the early 1990s, is his younger brother. He is a former first-class cricketer from New Zealand, who represented Wellington in the State Championship in the 1990s. Simon’s brother is the State League coach of the Central Districts Hinds, and he led them to victory in the State League final at Queen Elizabeth II Park in Christchurch in 2005-06.
