Mathias Boe Biography
Mathias Boe (born July 11, 1980) is a Danish badminton player. He won gold at the 2015 European Games, was a two-time European champion in 2012 and 2017, and finished second in the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the victorious Denmark squad at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China. Mathias Boe Career
Mathias Boe and Mogensen won silver in the men’s doubles event at the 2012 Olympics. In the 2013 World Championships, Mathias Boe won silver with Mogensen, but lost in the final to Muhammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan.
Mathias Boe declared in February 2020 that the Thomas Cup or Olympic Games would be his final tournament, however in April 2020, at the age of 39, he announced his retirement from professional badminton. He admitted that he has been psychologically fatigued in both training and competition recently.
