It has been more than a year since fake farmers held the country hostage for all the wrong reasons. From the desecration of Red Fort to the massive destruction of properties, from spreading Covid to the peddling of Khalistani agendas, the so-called farmers became the reason for thousands of funerals in the country.
During the year-long protest, the farmers’ leader Rakesh Tikait, Khalistanis all over the world, opposition, and left-liberals along with left media, walked hand in hand as if saying “Ham Sath Sath Hai” against three revolutionary farm laws which rather could have helped them to ensure the maximum profits, easy access to all the rights and many more aspects.
However, the government failed to call their bluff and did not take any strict actions against them. As a consequence, the culprits who should be behind the bars for inciting violence and peddling the Khalistani agenda under the garb of protests, are roaming free and celebrating the victory as the government has repealed the farm laws and ensured the farmers to withdraw all the cases against them.
Farmers to end the year-long agitation:
On 19 November, the three farm bills that were enacted almost a year ago were taken back by Modi Government. In the aftermath of the decision, farmer unions have called off 15-month-long agitation against the farm laws and will vacate the borders of Delhi to return home on 11 December. The protesting farmers, to mark their victories, (for all the bloodshed and inconvenience they caused to the people) will take out victory marches on the day at the Singhu and Tikri protest sites to their homes.
Gurnam Singh Charuni, a farmer leader, stated, “We have decided to suspend our agitation. We will hold a review meeting on 15 January. If the government does not fulfil its promises, we could resume our agitation.”
However, the farmers’ decision to vacate the protests site came a day after the central government sent a letter to farmers, assuring them to form a committee to take a decision on the Minimum Support Price. In addition to that, the government has also promised to withdraw cases against them as soon as possible.
Desecration of Red Fort:
The farmers, who are considered to be a matter of pride for the nation as they are referred to as ‘Annadata’ by Indians, proved that they do not deserve the respect when they desecrated the Red Fort – the pride of Independent India as the Nishan Sahib flag was hoisted at the Red Fort. This was all a part of the nefarious design of the Khalistani terror group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ). It is pertinent to note that earlier, SFJ had offered a reward of $250,000 for raising the Khalistani flag at the India Gate, as well as, the Red Fort, on Republic Day.
Rakesh Tikait and his despicable agendas:
Tikait is the man who wanted to score some political points in the garb of the farmer’s protest. Even after 3 farm laws were withdrawn, he insisted on not relieving his poor colleagues from protests that proved that the so-called protests were never about the farm laws.
Firstly, he claimed that on one hand he and the people behind him are protestors and do not hold any political ambitions. Then, he went on to contradict himself by issuing a political statement that they will oppose BJP for an uncertain time.

Violence, lynching, and every immoral stunt performed by the protestors:
As reported by the TFI, for the whole of last year, Rakesh Tikait along with Khalistanis has held more than 1 billion Indian people as hostages. They left no stone unturned in defaming India outside the country as well. On Republic day, thousands of Khalistan-sponsored protesters rammed their tractors to the Red Fort in order to browbeat the Modi government into submission. Similarly, in Lakhimpur Kheri, the Khalistani-led people posing as poor farmers resorted to the lynching of BJP workers, to score a political point for Khalistani secessionism.

Khalistanis had also decided to go on with their proposed rally against the Indian Parliament on November 29, 2021. They asked their anti-India agents to seize the parliament – the shining symbol representing Indian democracy. SFJ has announced a cash prize of USD 1,25,000 for any Khalistan supporter who will raise the Khalistan-Kesari flag at the Indian parliament on November 29, 2021.
Though the so-called protests have been called off but what needs to be noted is that it was only possible after Government failed to stand for what is right and take strict actions against the culprits. Those who defamed India and demean the pride of the nation to hold the country hostage need to be punished for all the misdeeds to set an example for all the anti-national elements to understand that nothing against India’s honour will be tolerated at any cost.
