After the accession of BJP in Power in India, many right wing thinkers came to limelight. Because most of the political analysis and so called intellectual authority was occupied by the Left media and Congress party supporters and the right wing had lesser influence on the intellectual world. The rise of BJP was a great opportunity for right wing intellectuals and Shefali Vaidya came as one of the forerunners in this race.
She came to the broader picture when she started writing for the Swarajya Magazine. Shefali Vaidya has written numerous articles on Swarajya. Her opinions gave voice to many right wing liberal thinkers.

Where she criticized the decision of BJP for induction of ten Congress MLAs to BJP in Goa. She said that Goa BJP is more Congress Yukt BJP than Congress Mukt BJP in Goa.
