Rohingya Muslims have been used by Pakistan to spread terror across the world, and especially in India. Recognizing the security threat caused due to Rohingya Muslims, the world is stepping in with precautionary measures to prevent any terror activity in their region. In a recent development, Indonesia too has rejected Rohingya Muslims. They were denied refuge in Indonesia and, instead, were pushed into the neighbouring Southeast Asian country.
No refuge for Rohingyas in Indonesia
As per the reports, a boat carrying approximately hundreds of Rohingya refugees, including women and children broke down and ran into trouble off the coast of Aceh province on Indonesia’s Sumatra island. They were being sent unto Malaysian waters.
Indonesian authorities, however, denied refuge to them despite requests from non-governmental organisations and the United Nations agency. The island nation is reluctant to accept them and intends to send them back after providing supplies, clothes and fuel, as well as a technician to fix their damaged boat.
Winardy, an Aceh police spokesman, reported, “We hope (the supplies) can help the Rohingyas to continue their journey to Malaysia as they planned and intended.”
“We will monitor them until they reach their destination,” he said.
Rohingya Muslims fled Myanmar
More than 730,000 Rohingya Muslims fled Myanmar in August 2017 after a military crackdown in the aftermath of deadly attacks by Rohingya Arsa militants on more than 30 police posts. Myanmar authorities were reportedly battling an insurgency and denied carrying out systematic atrocities.
Rohingya refugees from Myanmar are sailed to countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia between November and April as the seas are calm during the period.
Though Indonesia has shut its doors for Rohingyas now, it had accepted scores of Rohingyas earlier. Hundreds of Rohingya refugees have reached Aceh at intervals over the past few years. Earlier this year, a boat carrying 81 Rohingya from Myanmar was found stranded in Indonesia’s Aceh province after spending four months at sea. It was the third group to reach Aceh after two groups of almost 400 Rohingya had already entered the province between June and September, 2020.
Why Rohingyas are being denied refuge?
There must be questions floating on one’s mind as to why the Myanmar military had to fight against the Rohingyas? Why do Rohingyas have no shelter and had to flee from country to country for survival? Well, some reasons justify all the above instances.
The crackdown by the Myanmar military on Rohingya villages had been widely criticized as the media failed to assess the atrocities committed by Rohingyas on their neighbours in Myanmar. The massacres of Hindu and Buddhist villages in the Rakhine province at the hands of the Rohingya militia has often been sidelined and even denied by the ‘liberal’ world and Indian media.
The report published by Amnesty International, however, unmasked the true face of terror behind the ‘victim’ Rohingya population. There have been multiple accusations levied on the Rohingya population for carrying out planned killings of the minorities in their region of dominance. Some Hindu women and their children lived to tell the tale because they agreed to ‘convert’ and marry the ARSA fighters. The men and teenage children were killed as they belonged to a different religion and had no right to live on Rohingyan lands as claimed by the ARSA executioners. The Hindu women were forced to convert to ‘Islam’ and marry the fighters moments after their children and husbands along with other male members of the family were murdered, often within their sight.

As reported by TFI, the central government has already made its stance clear on the Rohingya problem. In an affidavit, while calling Rohingyas “absolutely illegal migrants” who posed “serious threats to the national security”, the Modi government said that India cannot become the “international capital of illegal migrants”.

Now, the Rohingya Muslims have become a tool for Pakistani terror outfits to carry out terror strikes in India. Indian Intelligence agencies have revealed that Pakistan is funding Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh and Rohingyas for terror strikes in India.
According to Indian intelligence agencies, Pakistan’s notorious Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is training a group of Rohingyas in Bangladesh to carry out terror strikes in India.

Now, one must have understood the extent to which Rohingyas can be a threat not only for India but the whole world. And thus, Indonesia must be praised for shutting its doors to them. Moreover, the world needs to learn and come together against terror spreading community.
