As they did during the 26/11 tragedy, NDTV and other leftists tried to defame nationalistic voices amidst the events unfolding after the unfortunate death of CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat. However, their agenda didn’t find any support, even from their comrades, when Ashna Lidder, daughter of Brigadier Lidder, brought forward the truth in the public domain.
Ashna Lidder clarifies her reason behind the Twitter break:
Ashna Lidder, daughter of Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder took a brief hiatus from Twitter after the tragic demise of her father. Ashna, who is a frequent user of social media had suddenly deactivated her Twitter account without giving any prior information to anyone in the public domain.
On 17th December 2021, she re-activated her social media profiles with a tweet that read, “Gratitude surges through me as I thank the nation for mourning the loss of my father with us… The biggest consolation I have is it, isn’t my loss alone, it’s our loss. Had de-activated my Twitter on my own, to spend time with family and away from any distraction”

The last line of her tweet clearly mentioned that her decision to deactivate her account came at her own volition. She also mentioned that she wanted to spend some time with her family, and during those tragic times, social media acted as a distraction.
Ashna’s clarification debunks left-liberals’ lies about Right-Wing:
The tweet and her unequivocal reason behind her Twitter deactivation came off as a tight slap for anyone who was looking to politicise the tragedy of her father’s death.
When Ashna had deactivated her Twitter account, various left-liberals in the public domain had resorted to blaming Indian Right-wing for her deactivation.
Journalists like Arvind Gunasekara had claimed that Ashna had deactivated her account due to abuse by what he termed as ‘right-wing hate groups.

Similarly, Mohammed Zubair, who claims on Twitter that he is a fact-checker, tweeted that she deactivated her account because of all the attacks from the right-wing group.

Similarly, senior Congress leaders like Priyanka Chaturvedi and Gaurav Pandhi also jumped to the occasion. They referred to a fake screenshot of Ashna criticizing Yogi Adityanath and claimed that due to her criticism of Yogi Adityanath, she was heavily trolled by BJP supporters.

Whenever our Armed forces are exposed to even minuscule tragedies, various cabals working against national interest pounce on the occasion to run their nefarious agendas. There is no fact-checking, no ethics, no morality, all they care about is furthering their anti-national cause.

Ashna is not someone who has politicized her family life for her personal career growth. She may or may not have views contrary to a certain ideology, but using her personal life as a political tool by the left-liberal spectrum of our media need to be stopped.
