“I want my right. I want it from the government. The government neither listens nor does it give me a house to live.”
“At least give us a land.”
These are the statements of Sultana Begum, the wife of Mirza Bedar Bakht (great-grandson of the last Mughal tyrant Bahadur Shah Zafar), who lives in Kolkata. The ungrateful Mughal descendent, who leaves no stone unturned in praising the tyrant in Bahadur Shah Zafar, earns a monthly pension of Rs. 6000, provided by the government.
No one has so far questioned the government’s grounds on which the Mughals’ descendants are receiving pension. The public’s hard earned money in the form of taxes is going back the Mughals; 6000 rupees may seem too less for some people, but for a lot of people, the same amount spells a fortune. On what constitutional grounds exactly is the government giving them pensions? There are hundreds of descendants of Hindu Kingdoms of the past still alive – do they get pensions? No. Then why the special treatment to the descendants of the tyrant Mughals?
The tyrant Mughals, who plundered Hindus in countless ways, used to tax Hindus. And now, they are still living with the tax payers’ money. Has India really moved on from the Mughals’ tyranny?
In a letter to Sonia Gandhi, Sultana Begum once even demanded a commission from national monuments’ revenue. “The Union government earns crores of rupees from such places (Mughal buildings) per year in entry fee from visitors. But, descendants of actual owners of these properties are deprived of any compensation and are left to starve.”
The so-called ‘Mughal buildings’, most of them at least, were built upon foundations of pre-existing Hindu structures. For Sultana to have the audacity to still leech off from Hindus seems just amusing, at this stage.
The Mughals destroyed the Indian economy:
The left liberals and ‘distorians’ have been brainwashing generations of Hindus into believing that Mughals enriched India, The brainwashing can mostly be credited to influential people of the likes of Mohandas Gandhi, whose anti-Hindu and Muslim-leaning politics during the Khilafat movement are no secret, and Maulana Abul Kalam, the first education minister of independent India, who was literally responsible for embedding lies of ‘Mughal glory’ into the minds of generations of children.

But, facts are facts. And the fact remains that India’s wealth stagnated greatly under Mughals. The tyrants looted lakhs of Hindu temples, plundered Hindu universities and institutions, tortured countless Hindus, and took away trillions of dollars of wealth to their native lands.
Building upon the rich legacy of the magnanimous Mauryan Empire, the Mughals had taken India to such a level that our country was once known as a Golden Bird. And in the 12th century, tyrant looters like Mahmud of Ghazni, and Bakhtiyar Khalji started the great drain of wealth from India. They did so by looting temples, imposing heavy Jizya taxes, etc.
Eyeing the Red Fort:
A great great granddaughter of Bahadur Shah Zafar, Raunaque Zamani Begum, who lived in Mumbai as of 2007, was looking to ‘reclaim’ Red Fort. Yes, you read that correctly. Raunaque, supported by her husband Iqbal Nawab, once considered suing the Indian government, in their miserable efforts to ‘reclaim’ the Red Fort.
Iqbal Nawab said, “We are identifying a lawyer to fight the case for the Red Fort and will file a court petition within this year. Many Indian kings who bowed down before the British are now very rich, but Bahadur Shah Zafar paid a huge price standing up to the British in 1857.”
‘Our’ Red Fort? Really? The left liberal brigade might storm this with their usual ridiculous ‘fact checks’, but if Shah Jahan really did commission the construction of Red Fort, he did so by brutally victimizing the Hindus’ properties and work force.
Ranauque’s sister Zeenat Mahal Shaikh on the other hand, wants the Indian government to appreciate the tyranny of the Mughals. “The Mughals ruled India since the time of Babar. The Indian government should appreciate this fact,“, she said.
The Mughals did not ‘rule’ India peacefully. They cowardly took over Hindu properties, relentlessly murdered Hindu rulers, destroyed many rich Hindu kingdoms, and just reigned on the populace, by sheer force.
Mamata Banerjee to the Mughal descendents’ rescue:
Mamata’s anti-Hindu pogrom may be getting highlighted only now due to the post-election violence against Hindus in Bengal, but her deep hatred for Hindus has been brewing since decades. Even when she was in the NDA as the railway minister, she couldn’t contain her deep rooted love for Islamists. In 2004, Mamata Banerjee visited Sultana Begum’s family, and presented them with a 50000 INR worth of money as a ‘token of help’. She further upped her game, when she gave away a group D Railway’s job to Sultana’s grand daughter, Roshan Ara, purely based on appeasement.
Sultana Begum, who considers Mamata Banerjee as some sort of a messiah, expressed her gratitude for “reaching out to Bahadur Shah Zafar’s family”.
“Didi is a compassionate person and I trusted her words. In the past 150 year, no politician has taken up a concrete step to bail the family out of poverty. We are indebted to Didi for reaching out to Bahadur Shah Zafar’s family.”
Mamata’s resolve to stand for the Mughals speaks volumes about her true allegiance. With a current chief minister who openly berates any crucial developments by the central government for her vile political reasons, and someone who openly instructs her party ‘workers’ to brutally act upon Hindus in her state, Mamata Banerjee cozying up to the Mughals’ descendents is hardly surprising.
Indians are waking up:
With mainstream propaganda bollywood movies like Mughal-e-Azam and Jodha Akbar heavily polluting the entertainment industry, the Mughals’ true reality has always been hidden from Indian masses.
But slowly, Indians are waking up. Indians are awakening to the reality of Mughals – the reality of tyrants, who plundered the Hindus’ wealth, massacred scores of people, destroyed lakhs of temples, and many atrocious campaigns against Hindus. Apart from woke academicians, writers and journalists who have made their livings through Islamic appeasement, the majority of Indians are awakening.
We at TFI are currently underway to file an RTI request, to know the amount spent by the Indian government since 1947, in pension costs to the Mughals’ descendents. Stay tuned, for more updates!
