Ravana, an infamous warrior, is known as a brutal terrorist who exerted his dominance mainly through his maya and his skilled warriors in his army. While many including historians believe that he was not just a mythological figure, Sri Lankan Government is conducting research on Pushpak Vimana used by him to travel to India and other places.

Sri Lanka’s research on Pushpak Vimana:

Reportedly, the Rajapaksa-led Sri Lankan government is all set to flag off the research on Ravana’s Pushpak Vimana that took him to places wherever he wanted. The Sri Lankan government, earlier in 2019, had also approved 50 lakh rupees for the research but it was put on hold after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.

Since things are slowly heading towards being normal, the government is looking forward to continuing the study, which is expected to resume in early 2022.

Shashi Danatunge, former vice-chairman of the Sri Lankan Civil Aviation Authority said that the study will resume early next year. He further noted that “Sri Lanka also wants India to be a part of the study given the story of Ramayana, which entails Ravana and his Viman, is interlinked with both countries.”

In a revelation, he also asserted that he believes Ravana had aircraft and an airport through which he travelled to India. He also added that “Sri Lankans and Indians had access to superior technologies like aviation.”

Ravana’s Pushpak Vimana:

What grabs the attention of historians is the belief that Ravana’s ‘Pushpak Vimana’ was the first aircraft ever to operate in the world. The speculations exist that Ravana’s Pushpak vimana could appear and disappear, travel long distances with high speed only by thought power of the master. However, in 2013, researchers from the University of Minnesota also designed a model quadcopter that can be flown by the human thought power.

In addition to that, artefacts of Ravana’s vimana in Ellora cave temples resemble modern Jetpack. The seating capacity of Pushpak vimana can be compared with the Airbus 380-800. Talking about the appearing and disappearing thing, the camouflaging techniques and stealth technology used in modern military aircraft help us in acknowledging that Vimanas described in Ramayan existed for real.

According to historian Dr Shalvapillai Iyengar, “Whatever is mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata are not just an imagination. Definitely, some sort of physical vehicles were there. So the research will help to find out what was the methodology and scientific terms and science was there at the time, definitely, it may lead to some clue.”

For a long time now, left liberals in our country have been pushing the narrative that Ramayana is a myth and the epic battle portrayed in it also never happened. Even with the Sri Lankan government launching research on the pushpak vimana used by the infamous demon king, it would not be surprising if the left-liberal cabal continues to spew venom of hatred and denial of Hindus’ history.
