When it comes to the issue of the protection of little children, a developing country like India has a lot of issues to tackle. Though we have a statutory body like the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), it remained mostly inert for a major part of its existence. However, Priyank Kanoongo, the current chairman of NCPCR has changed this perception.
Priyank Kanoongo forced NCERT to remove woke professors from the panel
Recently, NCERT tried to push radical, anti-science, anti-evolution gender ideology in Indian schools. However, after NCPCR issued a notice to the organisation, NCERT had to take down the manual suggesting gender identity, gender incongruence, gender dysphoria, gender affirmation, gender expression, gender conformity, gender variance, heterosexuality, homosexuality, asexuality, bisexuality, and transnegativity. Moreover, the backlash by NCPCR also forced NCERT to transfer two faculty members engaged in the writing and compilation of the course material.

This is not the first time when efforts by Priyank Kanoongo have thrashed the nonsensical dictates of the left-liberal intelligentsia.
Kanoongo and his war on anti-India elements
As reported by the TFI, in his 3-year stint as the chairman of NCPCR, Priyank Kanoongo has invited the wrath of virtually everyone who erstwhile had been exploiting the gullible minds of children for their nefarious agendas. These include Madarsas, politicians, OTT platforms like Netflix, social media giants like Twitter, NGOs, Conversion lobby, CBFC, etc.
- In August 2020, NCPCR registered a complaint against Mohammed Zubair, the co-founder of AltNews. The complaint had referred to a tweet by Zubair on August 6, 2020, which had the photo of a minor girl, with her face blurred out, during an online spat he was having with her father.
- In February 2021, NCPCR initiated actions against Rihaana’s cosmetic brand for exploitation of children.
- In March 2021, NCPCR decided to initiate a crackdown against a Bhopal-based NGO – Persecution Relief. The NGO was involved in creating fake stories of harassment of Christian institutions and orphanages in the country.
- Within a few days of their crackdown on NGO, NCPCR decided to take on Netflix for the wrongful depiction of kids in supposedly feminist-work-of-art Bombay Begum. The web series promoted love-Jihad, sexual exploitation of teenage girls and drug consumption among other garbages.
- In May 2021, Priyank Kanoongo advocated for registering FIR on Twitter India for violating the POCSO Act. Moreover, Twitter India had also provided false information to NCPCR. In June 2021, Priyank again nudged the Delhi Police to file FIR on Twitter India as it had not formed any committee under prevention of sexual harassment to protect its women employees.
- In August this year, Kanoongo invited the wrath of woke, liberals, Islamists, Islamoleftists all in one go when he talked about the mainstreaming of otherwise protected minority institutions. He advocated for bringing them under the fold of the Right to Education (RTE). Kanoongo termed these institutions as ghettos.
- In September 2021, Kannongo led NCPCR approached the Delhi High court to remove the earlier mentioned tweet by Mohammed Zubair.
- On November 9, 2021, NCPCR officially supported the proposed changes in FCRA norms by the Modi government. Kanoongo led body agreed to the fact that NGOs have been misusing foreign funds for exploiting gullible children.
- The same day NCPCR busted a big conversion racket in Madhya Pradesh. The racket was involved in converting poor and gullible Adivasis into Christianity.
- On the very next day, NCPCR rapped the promotion of homosexuality in schools through movies. It asked for a formal reply from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on whether it had actually issued permissions for these movies.

Priyank Kanoongo has shown how an official post can be used to rattle anti-India elements in the country. More and more bureaucrats, ministers, and others officials should learn a lesson or two from him. As they say, there is always something exciting and promising about small changes, and Priyank Kanoongo has proved how these small changes can garner huge results in the long run.
