It was a few days back when a shameless NCERT (The National Council of Educational Research and Training) had decided to go full ‘woke’ in order to morally deracinate Indian civilisation as a whole. In such a move, it had released a new publication titled ‘Inclusion of Transgender Children in School Education: Concerns and Roadmap’. However, the anti- Hindu ideology of NCERT, after being brutally washed up by the Right Wing activists and netizens, stepped in with a decision to withdraw the newly inducted ‘woke’ training manual.
NCERT withdraws its transgender training manual:
Recently, The NCERT’s new training manual grabbed the eyeballs of netizens along with media houses over a woke agenda to promote a narrative against Indian culture. But NCERT fell into its own pit as it had to face the public’s wrath for its controversial move. In the aftermath of the major backlash by Indians, the board has stepped in with the decision to withdraw its ‘woke’ training manual. However, the news of withdrawal broke out a day after NCERT had taken down its controversial content from the website.

Netizen’s reaction to NCERT’s ‘woke’ agenda:
Earlier as reported by TFI, NCERT had released a new training manual for the inclusion of transgender children in schools. The training material explains concepts such as gender identity, gender incongruence, gender dysphoria, gender affirmation, gender expression, gender conformity, gender variance, heterosexuality, homosexuality, asexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality, among various others, through a detailed glossary.
The objective of the training manual is the “sensitization of teachers and teacher educators regarding aspects of gender diversity keeping gender-nonconforming and transgender children at centre stage.” In this brazen document, the NCERT has also advocated for the use of gender-neutral infrastructure in schools in order to prevent children from growing up with normalised gender stereotypes.

Fuming over importing of USA’s wokeness to import such content on the training manual, netizens slammed NCERT. A twitter user Amit Singh wrote, “Beware of Wokeness. It’s trying to enter India.”

Another twitter handle slammed NCERT and tweeted, “Oh so gender equality comes from using the same toilet? Not from equal opportunities, equal pay, equal freedom. So what are u promoting NCERT- squat n pee, or pee safe devices? most ridiculous thing ever. Ye jaahil desh ke baccho ka bhavishya banayenge.”

According to a poster, Sahai is “an associate at the Center for Law and Policy Research”, and ‘they’ obtained a degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi and guest lectured at Ambedkar University. ‘They’ are an advent advocate for expression, sexuality, etc, that is not conventional or heteronormative.

India has a long and glorious history of accepting gender fluidity, not as a taboo, but instead, as a normal phenomenon that requires no special attention. Thus, NCERT to publish a document as brazen as this once and expect teachers and school staff to be sensitised accordingly is basically a diktat that will ensure that gender nonconformity becomes a tool against the nation in the long term.
Interestingly, the bureaucrats had let the documents pass without even opposing such agenda to import America’s wokeness to India. While we are relying upon them to maintain the integrity and prosperity of the nation, they are assisting a sex-interested contributor to malign the nation’s education policy and its culture as well.
However, the Modi government needs to recognise the threat posed to India by such American nonsense in the name of gender neutrality and nonconformity. Thus, to rectify what has been done, the bureaucrats must be punished for their shameless move to demean India’s culture.
