My Family My Responsibility Campaign – Last year, in the month of September when the Wuhan Virus was at its peak in the state the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray announced the launch of the campaign and shared that it would help keep the increase in cases under control. Through this campaign, BMC will reach all families in Mumbai. It will take a tremendous effort to get to every home in the state to assess the health of its residents and provide medical attention and guidance as needed.
According to the PTI report, last year, Thackeray said the pandemic is showing no signs of respite and that transmission has also reached rural Maharashtra.
About this My Family My Responsibility campaign
The My Family My Responsibility campaign will be called “Majhe Kutumb, Majhi Jababdari.” According to the BMC, citizens will be informed of “important steps” that need to be taken to combat and control the growing spread of the virus in Mumbai and the rest of the state.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will launched this campaign “My Family, My Responsibility” campaign as part of the state government’s awareness program to test the health of more than 26 million families in Mumbai to contain the spread of Wuhan virus disease (Covid-19).
The reason for this campaign, which was carried out with the collaboration of peoples’ representatives, including the citizens of Mumbai, and with the participation of NGOs, is to encourage more and more people to adopt new lifestyles to effectively control COVID. Its main goal is to provide effective health education to combat COVID, said Municipal Commissioner Shrilikbal Singh Chahal.
As part of this campaign, volunteers nominated by the BMC Department of Public Health will reach every family in the BMC area and walk from house to house to check temperature and oxygen levels. The campaign will be carried out in areas under the jurisdiction of the BMC, as well as to educate citizens about health issues, involving representatives of citizens and NGOs.
