Based on rumours of the vandalization of a mosque in Tripura, Islamists, driven by the mad hatred for Hindus, staged a protest in Maharashtra and engaged in misadventures. Given the attacks by Muslims on Hindu temples, shops and public properties, hundreds of Hindus also expressed resentment against the violence. However, Uddhav Government, despite Islamists’ violent acts, has arrested more Hindus than Muslims.
67 out of 119 arrested are Hindus:
Reportedly, 119 people, who were allegedly involved in the violence that erupted in Malegaon and Nanded last week, have been arrested by the Nashik rural police and Nanded district police. After the FIRs were registered, sixty seven Hindutva workers were arrested on the 13th of November for opposing violence by Islamists that erupted on the 12th of November.
Meanwhile, five FIRs were lodged against Muslims by Nashik rural police and only fifty-two people from the minority community were arrested, as per the reports.
The state government seems to have overlooked the damage of properties and temples by the minority community. Now, in order to portray itself as secular, the government has reluctantly arrested some Muslims too.
Islamists protesting for their imaginary incident:
Despite the Tripura police and government dismissing the claims of a mosque being set on fire in the state, members of the Islamic organisation Raza Academy staged protest rallies at various cities in Maharashtra on Friday. During these protests, large scale violence was reported out of three cities – Amravati, Nanded and Malegaon.
Earlier as reported by TFI, protestors were seen torching shops and police vehicles in Malegaon and Amravati, following which the riot squad was called in to quell the protests. The Islamist mob also targeted the anti-riot police officers, who were forced to resort to lathi-charge as a consequence.
NCP’S close links with Raza Academy:
NCP and Raza Academy are assumed to walk hand in hand and have close links with each other. Reportedly, the radical outfit had the support of a former Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader R R Patil. Noori had conceded, “We go to Patil because he is accessible to us.”
Earlier in 2019, five people died and more than a hundred were injured when Raza Academy incited people to protest at Azad Maidan. Despite this, the state government had gone soft on the Islamist outfit because of its close proximity to NCP leaders Sohail Lokhandwala and Nasim Siddiqui.
As per the reports, it was Lokhandwala who aided the Academy to secure police permission to protest at Azad Maidan.

Given the NCP’s agenda to hold the situation in equilibrium despite its hatred against Hindus, Maharashtra Government, in a shameful move, arrested more Hindus rather than Muslims. It was a smart move by the government to portray itself as secular, but it failed miserably as a bifurcation in the number of people arrested from both communities makes everything evident.
