It was predictable, impending and like textbook accuracy, it happened. After Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday (October 3) following a drug bust on a cruise ship, the Bollywood A-listers have come out in full, unwavering, and unflinching support of Aryan, in order to suck up to the Khan of Bollywood.
Leading the charge was actress Pooja Bhatt who took to Twitter to lend her support to Shahrukh and tweeted, “I stand in solidarity with you @iamsrk. Not that you need it. But I do. This too shall pass.”

Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty also avoided angering Shahrukh Khan by being at his diplomatic best. Shetty in Aryan’s defence remarked that he was a child and that one shouldn’t assume that he is guilty. “When a raid is conducted at a place, many people are taken into custody. We assume that a particular boy must have consumed it (drugs). The process is on. Let’s give that child a breather. Let real reports come out”

Singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi also penned her support to the actor and his son on the micro-blogging site and wrote, “Nothing harder for a parent than seeing their child in distress. Prayers to all”. Further stating that this is the price one pays for fame, she added, “For all those targeting #Bollywood remember all the #NCB raids on filmstars? Director Hansal Mehta also stood tall with Shahrukh and instead of looking at the incident from an impartial lens evoked the weak parent-child analogy.
He tweeted, “It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble. It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgements before the law takes its course. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship. With you @iamsrk.”

On Sunday, Salman Khan was also seen visiting Mannat to visit Shahrukh. As a person who knows a thing or two about evading the law and judiciary (Read: Blackbuck, Hit and run case), Salman is expected to have given his pearls of wisdom to Khan.

According to a report published in India Today, NCB sources stated that on October 3, Aryan Khan was booked under four sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). He was presented in front of the court later on Sunday. The Mumbai court had sent him in police custody for a day along with two others. The investigation is underway but the Bollywood has started weaving its narrative to influence the investigation.
I doubt that he must have used these drugs for the first time. He just got caught this time.
