Nitika Anand Mukherjee is an Indian film and television actress born in Bareilly. She has four brothers, two brothers, and two sisters. She married Indrajit Mukherjee in 2006, who also works in the entertainment industry.
Nitika’s portrayal of Pinky Sehgal on the hit soap opera Ishqbaaz is her most memorable role to date. Her iconic catchphrase Oh My Maata made her one of the most lovable characters on the show. Nitika Anand played Shivaay’s mother (Nakul Mehta) and was part of the daily soap opera from 2016 to 2018. Since she was pregnant with her daughter, she took maternity leave to focus on motherhood. Unfortunately, the show ended in 2019 after airing 764 episodes.
Nitika Aanand’s career
Nitika Anand has also played other roles in various Hindi TV shows such as Sushma in Hum Ladkiyan – Maayke Se Sasural Tak, Vandana Sood in Chand Chupa Badal mein, Kavaljit Gagandeep Dhillon in Sawaare Sabke Sapne… Preeto, Sunaina in Ramayan and Manpreet Singh Bhullar in Bani – Ishq Da Kalma. Nitika Anand was cast in her first film, Kshay (2012), a black and white Indian psychological drama film written and directed by Karan Gour.

The role is id most know for is when she played the mother of Shivaay (Nakul Mehta) in the hit series Ishqbaaz from 2016 to 2018, her portrayal of Pinky Sehgal on the show was the most memorable role yet. Ishqbaaz actress Nitika Anand represented India at the 2003 Miss Universe, where she was unplaced, ending India’s 11-year run of consecutive Miss Universe placings from 1992 to 2002.
Nitika’s English film Memsaahib was coordinated by Kriti Majumdar, who also made Khusro films. Nitika Anand is also known as a film, television and theatre actor and has completed numerous assignments abroad. A model who showed a passion for colour during the All India Bridal Asia Show 2003 and the Femina Bridal Show 2004.

Nitika’s childhood and her first pregnancy:
Nikita’s father is Brigadier S. S. Anand a physician in the Indian Army and his frequent moves led her to study at various schools including St. Mary’s in Pune, Maharashtra, Bishop Westcott Girls School in Ranchi, Jharkhand, John Conon Cathedral in Mumbai and NIFT in Delhi.
In an interview when asked about her pregnancy Nitika said ‘We had a lot of boys in the family but I’m hoping to have a little girl.’
The couple announced the arrival of their little bundle of joy with a sweet invitation. Nitika Anand then added ‘I was nervous and excited to enjoy a bit of motherhood. Nakul actually went with us, but he came back later in the night and stopped by.’
