No walls no barriers in Office of Mukesh Ambani

India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, also works as a regular employee at Reliance Jio’s office. At Reliance Jio, a recently set up company to expand 4G services in India,Mukesh Ambani himself works with 17,500 employees and oversees the work. There is no glass compartment designated for them in his office.

This newly established company is run by the entire Mukesh family. Mukesh Akash’s son and daughter Isha Ambani also sit in the office located on the seventh floor of Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai. Both are among the company’s top 70 CEOs.

A Reliance Jio official said there was no wall or barrier in this open office. Reliance Jio by Mukesh Ambani, which started just a few months ago, is the largest company in the country to start at a cost of more than Rs 1,000 crore. Manoj Modi, Ambani’s longtime and trusted partner, also operates from here.

The idea of Jio

In 1985 Mukesh Ambani married Nita Ambani, who also is one of the founders and director of Reliance and Dhirubhai Ambani international School. The couple have three children Akash, Isha and Anant. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited came into existence in 2016, it was founded by Mukesh Ambani and the idea of Jio was propunded by his daughter Isha Ambani. Akash and Anant Ambani work as head strategist at Jio infocomm Limited.

Mukesh Ambani announced in his speech at Reliance Industries “40th annual general meeting on June 18, 2014 that he would launch a 4G broadband service in 2015 and invest $1.8 trillion in Jio over the next three years. This announcement was announced to the general public on September 5, 2016. A week after RIL Chairman Mukesh Amani ushered in a new office culture in Reliance and emerged from his corner room at Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) in Navi Mumbai, Nita Ambani’s sleek office brought a new corporate culture to the walls and barricades of RILs headquarters in Maker IV Nariman Point.

The times have changed in the era of Indian companies, which are famous for their primary bureaucratic ways, are slowly embracing new age corporate ideas. Reliance, has significantly made an optimistic transformation in its corporate culture.

According to research conducted, there is no specific organization that serves as personal family office of Mukesh Ambani. But it could be argued that Reliance is his only family office. The billionaire of India’s largest company Mukesh Ambani doesn’t sit in luxurious log office cabins. Instead, has switched to an open workplace where they can be accessible to all their employees of the company.

The bigwigs moving office into open cabins are the founder Mukesh Ambani, his son Akash Ambani, his daughter Isha Ambani and his longtime partner and confidant Manoj Modi. Mr. Mukesh Ambani says that this culture of open office waives the barricades between him and his employees and promotes transparency within the work culture. Further the founder very well understands the barriers which can arise due to closed cabin usage.

A basic idea of “no walls no barriers” promoted by the company creates a sense of respect among the employees towards their seniors and make them work efficiently. It makes the employees work diligently and value their work and most importantly value their company.

World’s 10 Richest Man according to Forbs but a Down to earth Personality

Mukesh Ambani is the eldest son of visionary entrepreneur Shri Dhirubhai Ambani and lives in Mumbai. He graduated from the Hill Grange High School, Mumbai and graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and Stanford University, California, USA. Mukesh Ambani is the largest Indian billionaire, chairman managing director, and largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Ltd., a Fortune Global 500 company and India’s most valuable company by market value.

In spite of being one of the top billionaires around the world, Mr. Ambani practices simple habits of Indian man such as taking blessing from his mother, Kokilaben D. Ambani, every day. Ambani and his family own a number of news outlets, control schools and hospitals and run Mumbai Indians, a successful Indian Premier League cricket team. Ambani became the owner of the world’s richest owner of sports team when he bought the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team in 2008 for $119.9 million.

Mukesh Ambani’s father, Dhirubhai Ambani, is an Indian business magnate and his mother is Kokilaben Ambani. Mukesh Ambani is one of India’s leading wealthy businessmen, with an estimated net worth of $102.1 billion. Reliance Industries is a lucrative but unglamorous petrochemical and oil refining company that Ambani took over in 2005, three years after his father’s death.

He led Reliance in the development of infrastructure and the implementation of a pan-Indian retail network covering multiple formats, supply chains and infrastructures. Indian car buyers’ merchandise business continued in 2019, with Ambani’s five-year-old telecoms company Jio making $38.8 million, according to Forbes. Dependence Industries Limited (RIL) is a global Indian organization based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It claims to be the organisation in India that is staffed by energy, petrochemicals, materials, property, retail, media and communications.
