On Sunday, Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Maharashtra Minister Anil Parab in connection with a money laundering case. Seems like the politics of Maharashtra under the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has gotten worse, as the ED notice came days after a viral video showed Parab asking the police to arrest the Union minister Narayan Rane without waiting for an arrest warrant.

Parab was also accused by Maharashtra BJP MLA Ashish Shelar for the brief arrest of Union Minister Narayan Rane and, demanded a CBI inquiry into the arrest and the entire procedure of action.
The probe was placed after it was revealed by a suspended motor vehicle inspector of the Nashik Regional Transport Office (RTO) that Anil Parab, the state transport commissioner along with five other officers were allegedly extorting a sum of Rs. 300 crores for postings and transfers within the RTO department.
Following the ED’s summon, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the judicial action was expected as Parab is a Minister of Ratnagiri where Rane was previously arrested, and the party would fight it legally. “As expected, Anil Parab was issued an ED notice as soon as the Jan AshirwadJatra was concluded. The Central government has begun its work. The epicentre of the earthquake was reported in Ratnagiri. Parab is the Guardian Minister of Ratnagiri. Please understand the chronology. We will fight the legal battle with the law..Jai Maharashtra,” Raut tweeted.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rane was arrested in Ratnagiri district, after FIRs were filed against him for making alleged controversial remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. However, the Union Minister was later granted bail by the Magistrate Court in Mahad in Raigad district.

Anil Parab accused of massive corruption called the complaint filed against him and five other officers baseless, false, and politically motivated which has been proven otherwise by the Central government. Predictions reveal Uddhav govt will die a slow, painful death, powered by the Central government as Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray and, his ministers are slowly destroying the legacy of his father Bala Saheb Thackeray that was built on the ethos of nationalism, and sub-nationalism of the common ‘Marathi Maanus’.
The “nationalism” of Balasaheb was manifested only after he discovered that only “Marathi Asmita” is not sufficient to win power in Mumbai and Maharashtra. Then came Sh Pramod Mahajan and BJP-Sena alliance was formed. One partner Sena was a party playing regional politics and staunch sub-regionalism. The other partner BJP with its Hindutva agenda. The BJP never stepped away from its Hindutva ideology, but Sena slowly drifted away from the “Marathi Manoos”. So, now Sena can neither claim Marathi Asmita nor Hindutva.
