Rohini Singh goes international, urges Indian Muslims to attack Reliance for its deal with Saudi-Aramco

Rohini Singh, Reliance, Ambani

Propaganda journalist and a full-time Rahul Gandhi admirer, Rohini Singh has once again tugged at the stale trope of targeting the Reliance industries and the Ambani family to gain some mealy social media points. The Wire journalist took to Twitter to vent her misplaced anger after news of Saudi Arabian Oil Company Aramco planning to buy a stake in Reliance Industries started making the rounds.

Accusing Reliance of using its media network, viz. Network 18 for spreading hatred against Muslims, Rohini tagged Yasir Al Rumayyan, the Governor of Public Investment Fund (PIF) and asked him if he endorsed the alleged vilification of Muslims by a news network funded by Reliance Industries.

“The Ambanis happily do business with Muslim nations. @Aramco is in talks to buy a stake in Reliance Industries. Back home in India, their media network is busy spreading hate against ordinary Muslims. Yasir Al Rumayyan @PIFSaudi do you endorse this?” Rohini tweeted.

According to a Business Standard report, the Saudi Arabian firm is discussing the purchase of a roughly 20 per cent stake in the Reliance unit for about $20 billion to $25 billion worth of Aramco shares. The deal would forge a closer alliance between the world’s biggest oil exporter and one of the fastest-growing consumers. Riyadh and New Delhi had elevated their relationship to a “strategic partnership” in 2019 and thus it doesn’t come as a surprise that the two companies want to join forces.

However, Rohini, who might not be understanding the intricacies of economics and business altogether wanted to preach to Saudi Arabia to not make a mutually profitable deal because she said so. One also needs to understand where Rohini is coming from. Her allegiances lie towards Congress and the other left establishments. The Congress party prince Rahul Gandhi has made it his life mission to hurl accusations at Ambani’s and Reliance for political survival.

Despite the strategy having spectacularly backfired in the 2019 General elections and several assembly elections, Rahul has not dropped the towel and once in a while brings the Rafale deal out of the bag and espouses mumble jumble about the non-existent corruption in the case.

Rohini being his cheerleader has to do the arduous and laborious task of mudslinging accusations at Reliance. Thus she resorted to using the ‘intolerance’ modus-operandi in its slightly mellowed down form to invite the attention of charged up Islamists.

Props to Rohini, she did found support from few Islamists who continue to chug down her forced ‘Ambani-Adani-corrupt-Capitalism-wrong’ hot take.

One Twitter user somehow made this deal against Indian Muslims by stating, “Yes they endorse everything that is against Indian muslims,”

Meanwhile, another pulled out the overused card of ‘Sab Yaad rakha jaayega’ to guilt two financial behemoth companies into dropping the deal. “@PIFSaudi @Aramco Do you think Indian Muslims are not your Brothers ? Or do you also want to buy stake’s in that Company whose Media Channels call for Genocide of Muslims ? If yes, then all this be REMEMBERED. “Sab yaad rakha jayega”. @Saudi_Aramco”

While TFI cannot confirm but rumours have been swirling ever since the last Uttar Pradesh assembly elections that Rohini Singh had received a 2BHK apartment by Samajwadi Party headed by Akhilesh Yadav to write favourable puff pieces.

This rumour was further given wind by the fact that though the writing on the wall was clear, till the day before the results, Rohini Singh was adamantly asserting that SP was coming to power in the state.

Further, after the election results were announced, she disappeared, deactivated her social media accounts and went underground. We continue to believe that she had taken the much-required rest to recuperate after a hectic season of accurate political reportage but the netizens continue to fuel the conspiracy that she was embarrassed and simultaneously furnishing the new, swanky 2 BHK flat.

While Rohini might be trying to involve the Muslims and the leader of the Islamic world i.e Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to drop the deal — one needs to understand that relations between the two countries, owing to a ‘fascist leader’ in Prime Minister Narendra Modi are at an all-time high. Reliance and several other Indian companies are simply reaping the rewards of the groundwork laid down by the Prime Minister.

PM Modi’s personal diplomatic outreach has yielded great results for India as far as the Muslim world is concerned. He was even awarded Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honour, ‘King Abdulaziz Sash Award’ in April 2016. He has also received the Order of Zayed, UAE’s highest civilian award in August 2019.

However, according to Rohini, the nexus of Ambani and Modi is out to get Muslims and the leader of the Islamic world is too blind to notice that.
