Such is the irrelevance of the Indian National Congress that the co-director of the company which the grand old party hired for managing its social media strategy in various states, in a viral video has admitted that in its current state the party can never beat the BJP as it has zero ground connect.
Gunjeet Kaur, co-director of a campaign management company, Design Boxed hired by the Indian National Congress for managing its social media strategy in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka and Assam to name a few has exposed the predicament that the Gandhi family-run party finds itself in.

In the video, Kaur can be seen admitting that the INC stands no chance to beat the BJP unless it connects with the people at the grassroots.
Kaur, in the video, asks, “You never get a call from the Congress office, checking after you and asking for your wellbeing, just like you get from the BJP. How can you then imagine defeating the BJP?”
She added, “Congress can never beat the BJP unless they wake up and reconnect with the ground. They are ill-prepared against the BJP. Congress lacks basic data. They do not have something as basic as numbers of people in their own ward.”
Kaur continued, “BJP has weekly assessments and connects. They regularly prepare excel sheets and make calls to connect with voters at the ward level. Congress has none of it.”
The series of embarrassments for the INC is showing no sign of abating with people who are adrift with the inner workings of the party becoming increasingly disenchanted with the party. This will only add more fuel to the fire to the G-23’s campaign.
If it were up to her, an ailing Sonia Gandhi would have taken retirement from active politics long ago, however, she knows that her son, Rahul Gandhi, is simply not cut out for the rough and tumble of the Indian politics nor has the competence to lead India’s oldest political party. Perhaps Sonia realises that if the party was completely handed over to Rahul, its disintegration would happen at an alarming pace.
Kaur’s damning statements that the INC lacks ground level connect would spark a massive introspection in any serious political party, but it won’t happen in the INC where the only aim is to serve the Gandhi family and not the citizens of India. It is hardly surprising that the party couldn’t care less for timely assessments as their strategy is clear: if they were to win any state election thanks to regional strongmen like Amarinder Singh in Punjab, the credit would be given to Rahul Gandhi, and if the party were to face a massive drubbing which happens more often than not, the blame must lie at the doorstep of the Election Commission and Electronic Voting Machines.
