Any publicity is good publicity. The same goes for Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty who has been making headlines constantly for her alleged role in Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. Initially, Rhea’s film industry career seemingly fell prey to the immense negative coverage that she garnered during the peak days of the Sushant controversy.
Most of the directors and producers stopped considering her for their upcoming projects. Rhea Chakraborty was even sidelined in the starring projects and made to keep clear of the promotional events. Essentially, Rhea had become a pariah for the entire film industry after the Sushant episode. However, one year down the line, Rhea’s career is ostensibly all set to take a giant leap forward.
Surprisingly, it is Hollywood that has come forward to help the sulking actor. As reported in the Times of India, Rhea Chakraborty has been approached by not one but three leading talent agencies from Hollywood who want to help her meet good directors and get new international projects. While Rhea seems to be overjoyed by the prospect of working with global banners, she is yet to make a decision. It is believed that Chakraborty might feature in some international OTT or movie projects in the years to come.
Undoubtedly, Rhea Chakraborty is one of the most controversial actors in Bollywood as of now. If rumours are to be believed, even the makers of Big Boss 15 might have approached her for signing up for the upcoming show. As one may conclude, the controversy and all the negative publicity that she earned during the period is now helping her ailing career.
As reported by TFI earlier, a vast section of media and Rhea herself undertook an ambitious PR strategy to project her as a helpless victim of the media trial. Rhea even lined up the left-slanting media and journalists like Rajdeep Sardesai to peddle the theory that Sushant was suffering from depression and was bipolar. In her bid to come clean off the allegations being faced by her, Rhea even went on to target Sushant’s family as she claimed that his family should respect her because she took care of Sushant.
Last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had alleged that Rhea used funds from Rajput’s accounts and had even obtained the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the debit card of the late actor. The fact that Rhea took to the mainstream media to whitewash the allegations made against her, goes on to prove that Rhea could have strived to make the most out of Sushant’s death even when the investigative agencies were probing his death.
While many might have believed that the Sushant episode will prove to be a death knell for Rhea’s thriving career, the recent developments seem to suggest a starkly different story. Sushant’s millions of fans are still awaiting Justice for Sushant and his family. On the other hand, Rhea is getting the stage set up for her international debut that would not be less than a major embarrassment for Sushant’s well-wishers.
Wow how nice of Hollywood! Since Desi audience are not interested in seeing her anymore, let them keep Rhea permanently there and never bother to send back, just like Priyanka Chopra. There’s enough local talent happy to replace whoever chooses to leave.
