While the Bollywood industry and its woke actors continue to sneer and look down upon the Indian gods and ancient Indian history — the producers and directors do not miss out on an opportunity to retell the old stories to milk sweet, big profits. Reportedly, a movie is in the works where Ramayana will be told from the point-of-view (POV) of Maa Sita, and Kareena Kapoor Khan has been approached for the role.
The proposed movie is expected to be directed by Alaukik Desai and has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Bahubali fame. Kareena Kapoor Khan has demanded a fee in excess of Rs.12 crores for the movie, according to various media tabloid reports.
“Bebo who usually asks in the Rs. 6-8 crores range for her films has quoted a sum of Rs.12 crores which has put the producers in a jiffy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice,” said one of the sources.
A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said that Kareena will shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s upcoming venture first because they are smaller films that will be completed in one month’s time each.
“Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo also realises that this will be her biggest magnum opus to date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view,” they said.
However, as soon as the news of Kareena’s casting came out, the netizens started fuming as they weren’t amused by the choice of the actress to play the role of Maa Sita.

Similarly, other tweeters showed their disappointment over the decision and demanded the actress be changed.

Although the role hasn’t been finalised nor Kareena has given her dates but the initial hostile response of the audience on the casting is sure to give a lot to the producers to think about.
We request the film industry to respect the sentiments of the Hindu people and Hindu scriptures and don’t push your stupid experiments on us.
