While the Congress party continues to deny any links with the leaked toolkit which has exposed the party for its shameful conduct, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi seems to have been following it religiously since early this month. On May 8, Rahul Gandhi shared a graphical representation on Twitter showing India’s rising Covid-19 cases and plunging vaccination numbers. Interestingly, he captioned it by calling the second wave ‘The Movid Pandemic’, which quite literally meant ‘Modi’s Pandemic’. In the graphic shared by him, one could see the lines “Modi hai toh mumkin hai” figuring prominently.
Rahul Gandhi’s tweet dating earlier this month seems to be in complete sync with the toolkit which was circulated within the party in order to defame India and the Modi government internationally. One would have thought that as a national party, the Congress would not go outrageously anti-national in its politics. However, that is precisely what seems to have happened. In an open attempt to defame India, perhaps at the behest of China, the Congress party in its toolkit directed workers to “Use the phrase ‘Indian strain’ whenever talking about the new mutant. Social media volunteers may call it ‘Modi strain’.”

The Congress’ toolkit made no secret of the fact that its motive was to defame PM Modi, using whatever means necessary. Taking a shot at the Grand Old Party, BJP’s Amit Malviya said, “The Congress may be desperate to call their toolkit fake and disown but can they disown Rahul Gandhi who has been repeatedly calling this a “Movid” pandemic, referring to the “Indian” variant of the strain. We are not even looking at the likes of Shashi Tharoor, Sonia Faleiro.”

The Congress party was honest enough to admit in the leaked internal document that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval ratings have not fallen despite the pandemic. In the document which is now being called the ‘Congress Toolkit’, the party wrote, “The approval ratings of the Prime Minister have been high and have not dipped despite the crisis and mismanagement. This is an opportunity to destroy his image and erode his popularity.”

In response to a national storm of anger against Congress for the outrageous toolkit designed by it, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took to Twitter to say, “Don’t waste time spreading lies, wake up and start saving lives.” That her own brother has been acting in accordance to the said toolkit she is calling fake was given a convenient miss by Vadra. Earlier today, it was revealed that the creator of the document ‘Central Vista Vanity Project AICC Research’ (another toolkit that came to light on Tuesday) is one Saumya Varma – who happens to be an aide of Rajeev Gowsa, chairman of the AICC Research department which authored the toolkits.
The Congress party stands exposed like never before for trying to defame the Modi government and India by colluding with media and vested interest groups. What’s worse, it is defaming the government and the country on the basis of a bunch of lies and a barrage of misinformation.
